  1. Well! its been nice knowing you guys on these forums guys, ive learnt a lot, but i do not believe im in a position to depart from more money may have to cancel pre order
  2. Ah fair enough, well thats slightly re-assuring anyway, thanks.
  3. are you saying theres a chance they may or may not get hold of it? I contacted anovos anyway about it so i suppose I will find out soon-ish. if so i might just cancel the pre order and all the hours and hours of preparation and blaster building and research will be for nothing.
  4. So let me get this straight, when they eventually post my TK kit to the UK they are going to charge me import tax on top of the $130 shipping plus the $350, both of which have already been paid? I may be wrong, I should probably message them about it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. thats cool. They probably won't do that but I hope they do even though I'm still waiting on my damn anovos ANH kit.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Damn, that's a relief. Thought it would be too thin Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I'm tempted to try something like that. But will the new material blend right with the rest? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. You could be the first imperial shock trooper on these forums or the 501st!! think of the glory!!
  9. All the TKs seem to be ROTJ armour. Minus drop boxes and knee plate. I'm very sure on that. The backpack looks like special edition sandtrooper backpack. Here's the character model that came out a while ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. All the TKs in the new battlefront are ROTJ from what we have seen so far. Even the TDs to some extent. Heres one of models that came out a while ago. DICES attention to detail is superb in these models. The back pack appears to be a special edition sandtrooper backpack and not the typical classic TD ones. Notice the absence of the knee plate and drop boxes. I would love to see this one built. ROTJ builds are few but when this game hits we may see some hopefully. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Considering this option if yours works well. Much cheaper and quicker than other techniques ive seen Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  12. Yo dawg, I saw you were wearing shin guards, so heres some shin guards for your shin guards! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  13. pic 1: ---------- finishing my second DD blaster for my incoming kit, going to sell the other blaster. maybe im being anal about detail here but just wondering how the power cylinders should be exactly placed. pointing straight parallel with the barrel, or at an angle parallel with the mag well. Ive seen both being done. Also I might just leave both power cylinders and hengstler off or maybe just hengstler off. is that still accurate with stunt armour? it seems accurate for hero i think. thanks
  14. I read a while ago that the moulds for the helmets had "collapsed" or something and thats why they have a soft look about them. Not sure Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  15. Wouldnt rebels make it canon since a number of white TKs wear them? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  16. I am also from Northern Ireland, surfing the forums endlessly to prepare for my Anovos build. In relation to the boots I went for those Amazon chelsea boots, hopefully they'll work. Bought them a while back to get some use out of them while they're black. Look forward to joining the Ireland Legion some day! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  17. Now that I compare them myself the differences are very subtle and not too bad but again most obvious in the helmet. with some extra work and effort you could get FX looking more accurate than it originally is if you scout the forums
  18. There is so much wrong with it if you want screen accurate. you will notice it yourself once you get into researching armours and watching tutourials etc. the lay man wouldnt notice much difference at a convention I guess. you probably wont notice differences, but your brain will.. :L straight off you will notice how different the helmet is. you wont be able to put your finger on it straight away but you know its there. as for the armour i am sure some of the experts will be able to give an in depth list of differences. from what I do know centurion requires very very screen accurate armour, which is a lot of work, time and money I hear. differences in the armour would be that they are made from completely different molds. if you compare the two side by side you will begin to spot it. If your on a budget and want armour thats accurate to the untrained eye you could pre-order a helmet kit from Anovos for $150, or somewhere else, since the helmets the most noticeable difference. then wear that with your FX armour. I mean you probably dont have to do that at all if you are happy with the fx helmet. maybe leave that til much later.. Looking at the image below if i am correct, the second persons wearing full FX armour, whereas the fourth person (to the girls left) seems to be wearing FX armour with a more screen accurate helmet, which works i think. Actually now that i look at this image ALL these dudes are wearing FX armour (except the girl), but the first and fourth people are wearing more screen accurate ANH Stunt helmets. Good luck, Hope this helps. FX armour will make a fine sandy i think.
  19. Yo, I am also a soon to be Anovos TK. I went for the doopy doos conversion of my E11 and I would recommend it. It was fun. Set me back about £45 which is as cheap as I am going to get it in the UK. Unless you already own the Hasbro blaster then your half there, I had to buy mine. Found loads of tutorials on the conversion process on the forums. Its pretty easy. If I had a spare blaster like you I would build both and sell one for a nifty wee profit Id imagine there will be plenty of anovos guys looking to buy it. I made mine as soon as I could because I couldn't wait, plus thats part of the building process out of the way before I get my armour. Anyway heres a photo of how mine turned out: --------- If I could redo mine Id probably be more patient with the process but I think its fine for now. Probably will re-spray paint it soon, i kind of rushed it, but its not beyond perfecting. Ive looked around for other conversion kits but Doopydoos seems to be the only reliable source at the moment. Its a pretty damn good kit. they took a while to dispatch mine plus if you live not in the UK then be prepared for some waiting time. If you want any tips or pointers just ask I am happy to help. ive researched the shucks out of this, not that im an expert in any way, this is the first "movie prop" thing ive ever made, im still a newb like you Goodluck!
  20. For $5 thats amazing. I am looking at MP40 replica pouches on ebay. debating whether I should or not. Im not even making a sandtrooper. I was just think the black Pauldron would look cool on its own with the armour like the Storms in Star Wars Rebels. Already bought a black pauldron but damn it seems too small and I thought an ammo pouch might work to cover up the left shoulder a bit. I might go for your method. But maybe I should wait til I actually get my pre-orderd armour.
  21. I bought a pair of chelsea boots I can wear until my anovos kit comes. When it does im just gonna die or paint them white. Cheaper option. Also screen accurate!
  22. Shippings too damn high for me. Just bought a black pair of chelsea boots on Amazon for £25 and plan on painting them somehow, when my armour arrives. Just wearing them until then to get some use out of them while they're black. Apparently painting them is more screen accurate so i guess thats a plus :S hopefully they turn out fine
  23. I just bought a black pauldron online. thought it best as it is a blank canvas if i ever wanted to spray paint it, plus i think it looks cooler, orange seemed more sandtrooper-ish. I saw a few stormtroopers wearing it in the last episode of Rebels so i guess wearing it on its own is still canon even if im not a sandtrooper. Also the teaser image of the trooper wearing one in the new battlefront game kind of sold me on it. Choose whatever looks aesthetically pleasing I agree. Pre-ordered my armour off Anovos on May 4th so it'l be a while until I get to join yous.
