  1. The kit turned out great, nice job.
  2. I can't wait to see what you do with this Kevin. I'm in for one.
  3. Eric, you and Vader need to trade costumes.
  4. Actually we have been issuing five digit ID numbers for a couple weeks. The transition isn't complete with all the website features.
  5. While you may be subscribed to the thread, double check your notification options in your user profile. That may be where the problem is as they can sometimes be reset when we upgrade the forum software.
  6. Your getting ahead of yourself. Any detachment merch has to be approved by the FISD staff and the Legion. As it stands the shirt does not meet the Legion requirements to me made, that list can be found on the Legion boards. I think it's a great concept and would love to see it come to light as a T-shirt.
  7. Yes It's already been a staff thread for a little while, and yes before this thread was made. In retrospect to the earlier posts the LMOs the last two years have been much more willing to raise standards than in the past, and if you look at the base standards they are essentially the first version of EIB standards without the holster mounting but with no silver det stickers. Also the LMOs of late have been willing to have an open discussion about standards and if a good case is presented change their edited versions, this is how we have neckseals in the base standards. While it doesn't make everyone happy on both sides, TK standards are on the rise and even the base CRL recommends not having FX/AM helmets, something that would have been unheard of five years ago.
  8. No one should bash you for your opinion. No FX/AM helmets has been in the EIB and MEPD deployed requirements for years, I was DL when it was implemented, so there is a groundwork for restricting some armor makers when it comes to the above and beyond programs. I don't think it's out of the question to have some centurion restrictions similar as well. Whatever the outcome it'll be the detachment that decides as all EIB and Centurion standards and changes have always been voted on with a detachment vote.
  9. The other question is where could you put leds on a stormtrooper?
  10. Dennis, just remember that the CRLs are approved and edited by the LMOs. The detachments can't just change them on a whim. Otherwise the correct holster attachment style would be a base requirement dependent of movie version (just as one example).
  11. The face needs to be rotated more to the left. A good reference is to have the corners of the eyes line up with the trap edges.
  12. Actually back in the day a great many people did it to keep from having to paint circles.
  13. If you look at the other auctions and the listing format it's clear that it's another of AM's accounts on ebay just like sitharmor.
  14. Actually it's AM, not recast AM.
  15. I can't recommend the standard testors paints, but the model master line is comparable to humbrol in quality.
  16. Here you go, pictures of a razor knife also called a box cutter:
  17. There are over 40,000 zip codes in the US. They won't run out any time soon.
  18. I score and snap my finishing strips using a metal straight edge, two clamps, and a razor knife.
  19. He didn't abandon his post, he was killed in the line of duty by rebel filth.
  20. Here you go (it's only viewable to GML/GWL access): http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72204&highlight=
  21. This is correct. The goal was to have the system change done last Monday, but as far as I know they system is still down. I'm as GML as well and have new members waiting on their numbers too.
  22. The helmet looks great Jesse.
  23. WOW looks great Rolf.
  24. If a part was missing from your kit contact the maker about making it right.
