ANOVOS; Major customer service issue
TK3645 replied to Tricky the Clown's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Update on my defective Anovos FO standard helmet... Received the helmet in the first shipping run back in December a week before xmas... Many defects and scuffs/scratches present on the helmet...Tickets opened, emails sent...Finally back in March I was told I was on the list to receive a returns label for a helmet exchange... Now we are in June and it seems the exchange policy has changed...I have had Brian from Anovos customer service demand that I destroy the received helmet and supply photographic evidence to confirm it is in pieces before a replacement is sent out! They claim that this is the policy for international returns and also a requirement with the licence they have...Now my gut instinct is not to smash the helmet up as they have no stock to exchange and god knows when Anovos pull their finger out to replenish the stock levels... I'm guessing Anovos now don't want to incur the cost of shipping the defective helmet from the UK to the US. I should also point out that I started a charge back with my credit card back around April. I have received a temporary credit for the purchase/shipping cost of the helmet but Anovos are disputing the claim and I honestly can't see this ending any time soon. My credit card company are saying they have done all they can do!! They even said to be prepared in case this goes to court! Are the demands made by Anovos seem reasonable to destroy the defective helmet? Anyone else having the same or similar issue's with Anovos? -
ROTJ "CFO" TK Build - TK3645
TK3645 replied to TK3645's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Build has been picking up in the last few weeks and I'm close to finishing..... I'll get some pics uploaded soon to show the progress. I've tried build the suit to a screen used version using the latest pictures found in the "Costumes" book. I do need to get confirmation on the size of elastic used for the thigh to belt connection. I have a 75mm wide black elastic on my RS suit (ANH) but was this the same for ROTJ? Also need confirmation on attaching battery pack and sniper plate....4mm rivet and washer with or without glue? or what was the screen used way. Thanks -
I don't get why the soft goods had a customs charge....The total value can't be that much!
-
Kenny... Did you get the soft goods yet and were you charged any customs/tax?

Jimmiraquois First Order Stormtrooper Build

Watching with great interest Evin....Just been told by Jim that my kit/helmet is ready for shipping. Can't wait to start this build. Have you treated or sealed inside the armor pieces as they looks very shiny or is that how the kit comes? -
Just got a payment required card from my post office...seems the soft goods package has arrived but with a £16.00 custom charge. Anyone else get stung.

ANOVOS; Major customer service issue
TK3645 replied to Tricky the Clown's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Anovos recently posted that there was a issue with the ticket system with hotmail .com and co.uk email address's and was advising people to use an alternate email address. I have done this and still after 2 weeks no response. For me it's been over 3 months since I received my FO helmet with defects. Lots of emails and messages sent but no answers... -
Your not wrong.
-
I wish...Still have an open ticket from mid December 2015 from the issues/defects received with my FO TK helmet. I've sent emails, messages and even opened another ticket but no one wants to reply from Anovos. So I have no chance in getting a response to the issues of the recent delivery.

Just been looking at the contents of the Anovos BBB that came a couple of days ago. Has anyone else received a shoulder bell like this - The raised extra plastic has gone over the trim line...Yet again poor quality control. I also have a couple of other pieces with some poor forming that will need some attention before assembly...I don't seem to have much luck buying from Anovos.
Just had a customs bill arrive today for my defect helmet....£50.00 to pay to fedex.
Happy days NOT. Still no reply from my open ticket. Like Han says "I've got a bad feeling......"
-
Glad to hear you have received a postive reply. I'm still waiting for a response to my open ticket with attached pics of the defects. I'm guessing they will exchange BUT I'm in the UK, I somehow escaped paying any custom's fees/tax when the helmet was delivered. If a replacement was sent and it got caught with custom's fee's do you think ANOVOS would accept responsibility and pay the fee seeing as it was there mistake or will it be sod's law and I would need to pay even more for a helmet without any defects. Dammed if you do.....

Count me interested in one

Got my Anovos standard line helmet a couple of days ago. Really disappointed with the quality. There are glue marks on the black mesh around the frown, both lens are scuffed, gaps around the mic tip, damaged frown, a bump in the center of the brow and many marks dotted around the top and sides (which look looks crease's in the plastic). All the above has not been caused during transit...Box and shipping carton arrived in very good condition...This is just poor QUALITY CONTROL. I've created a support ticket with Anovos and just waiting for them to respond after seeing the following photo's. I've seen posts from other's highlighting many flaws and imperfections..... I really think they rushed the production of these helmets....I would of preferred to of waited until next year to receive a better product.

Mark, Does that mean the bubble lenses you provide with your ROTJ helmet kits not come from an original ROTJ helmet?
-
Totally agree with you there Paul. Plus I agree with the previous comments of poor customer service...

ROTJ "CFO" TK Build - TK3645
TK3645 replied to TK3645's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Been a while since I've updated this thread, I've not really worked on the suit for a while but I'm now getting back on track I've started to put the trim around the body parts and assembling the TD. I'm ready to fix the clips on the TD but my question is what is the screen accurate way? I've looked and found no images to confirm if rivets were used or some type of screw? I have a set of sskunky banker clips which are pre-drilled with a single hole in each clip...Can anyone confirm the screen used method of fixing the clips to the tube. If anyone has some pics of a screen used TD showing the clips that would be great aswell. Thanks -
Looking good Steve

Hi Steve, Looking at your boots I see the soles haven't been painted white. Just wanted to mention to you that the general consensus is that the worn screen ROTJ boots have a painted white sole. Saying that though we have pics of the ROTJ suit at the Identities Exhibition with the soles of the boots having a natural light brown/blonde colour. There's also some additional stitching on the boots...Have a look at the Photo gallery pics and your see what I mean.. Keep up the great build mate.
