  1. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good source of a accurate mesh to fit around the frown area? I need to add some mesh to areas on my received helmet kit as the casting as left blank areas and broken up parts. Cheers
  2. Hi Alex, Just wanted to confirm the standard Anovos helmet was scanned and matched and not the more expensive fiberglass version? Did you go for the Fiat 249 color in the end? If so how was the result? Was the match between helmet and armor good? Cheers
  3. Thanks for that Eric. Vincent got in touch but I'm still waiting to hear from Jim about the kit.
  4. Hey Paul, Can I ask your reason's for not following the iDye Poly instructions...I brought this product some weeks ago when you first mentioned it and have sourced a large "Jam pot/metal pan" to use the stove top method of dyeing...Does this method fail to work or are there other reasons? P.S Great thread by the way...appreciate all the work/research involved.
  5. I've still had no response from Vincent?....Also not sure if or when I'll be getting the Rebels TK kit from Jim (Talon) as he's not replying to PM's or from messages on the sales thread? Last time I heard from Jim was in September where he confirmed he was at number 2 on the waiting list. I'm at number 7 but I've the feeling it's not going to happen for me....So I'm wondering if I should drop out of the boots run. I don't think that will affect the run as I believe there are 6 people at present and IB needed a minimum of 5 to begin production.
  6. Still waiting on replies to 2 email queries sent to Vincent...last query was sent on 2/11/16 but still no answer.
  7. I have a similiar query to see if the rebels boots will have the same sizing as the T7 boots. I have emailed Vincent but haven't had a response yet.
  8. You lucky so and so If you wanna off load that extra helmet I'll be interested
  9. Just spoke to Epic Militaria and they can't sell the straps without buying the bag
  10. Hey Ian, Thanks for the tip but I've already got a large Alice pack. I'm just after a set of the woodland straps. They seem to be very hard to source in the UK and surprisingly more expensive than what I paid for the large pack!
  11. Well.....My delivery arrived today and this is what arrived - I should of received this - I had to order the frame as well because the sellers did not want to split up the straps from the frame! Anyone in the market for the straps I advise you to avoid GOARMY.CO.UK There website listing is as follows - https://www.goarmy.co.uk -------------- I now have to start a fight to get a refund on my credit card using the chargeback method so beware of this seller! Anyone know of a good source to purchase these straps around the EU/UK?
  12. Thanks guys Straps now ordered
  13. Forgot to add the sale description - Comes with kidney pad and pair of woodland camouflage straps. As title suggests, the frame is made from a lightweight alloy metal and is LC2 more modern version. Will accommodate any alice pack size, large or medium.
  14. I'm having a hard time sourcing the enhanced woodland quick release straps to put on the backpack here in the UK. I have found one supplier but they can't confirm if the straps are the quick release enhanced type! The pictures on there website site are as follows - Can you guys in the know confirm if the straps are the correct type as worn on the R1 backpack. Cheers
  15. Put me down for a set of the standard size Any idea if the sizing of the decals will fit the DDay Phoenix props F-11D kit?
  16. Anyone know where to purchase a set of F11D decals/stickers that would fit onto my Phoenix props DDay Kit? Cheers
  17. I've tried a water down acetone solution which is similar to nail varnish remover without being as harsh on the plastic but that failed. I got the Novus polishing kit but that won't work as it's for scratches and scuffs really. I've seen this but as the glue marks are dried I imagine this will fail to work. Without knowing what glue was used in the production doesn't help but it looks like some epoxy type!
  18. Hi everyone, Anovos have failed to replace the helmet so I'm now trying to make the best of the situation and clean up the helmet's flaws.... To start I've decided to start with the frown... There are some glue marks around the frown. I've tried using rubbing alcohol and watered down acetone - both tried/tested on rear of frown before applying on glue marks but they've failed to remove the marks! Anyone else have some ideas?
  19. I thought the Alice bag was found to be a large LC2 in Olive? Not sure though if it's Nylon or Canvas?
  20. I have Jim's V3 kit and that comes with a total of 12 greeblies/latches. This is broken down into 6 large and 6 small... My question is just to confirm where the large and small go on the armor. I have a fair idea..I'm thinking - Biceps - large x 2 Forearm's - small x 4 Thighs - large x 2 Shin's - large x 2 Spats - small x 2 Is that right?
