  1. Interested in the blaster and pistol. Hopefully you'll be shipping to the UK?
  2. You think satin would be better than the gloss? I was thinking that given it's meant to replicate glowing LED light's gloss may of been the better of the two? Also the gloss white paint for the F11D. Is it your understanding that the blasters had the same white colour as the armor? I ask as I was going to paint my armor with RAL 9010 so should I use the same 9010 on the blaster or go with a generic gloss white? Cheers
  3. Thanks mate
  4. Hey Germain, Geat build. I see you used a Humbrol red paint for the light effects. Did you go for the gloss #19 or Satin #174 or something else? Cheers
  5. Thanks Darren. Have you got any other reference pictures showing the bicep ridges on the TK's other than Finn's suit. I ask as I know that Finns TK suit has certain differences to the standard TK. Cheers
  6. My question is regarding the 2 ridges in the trapezoid seen above the clip/greeblie. I'm building Jim's V3 FO TK kit. I've filled in the half of the trapezoid with epoxy sculpt. Now the other half is blank. Is it screen accurate to have the 2 ridges as well. I've tried to find screen grabs with a good close up of the bicep to confirm but I've found nothing. The only source I found with the ridges is the picture of the running TK in last year's Celebration program and the CRL bicep picture. Can anyone confirm if the ridges are a screen accurate feature.
  7. Hey Evin, I was looking at your spats and how you wear them. Do you have the clips/greeblies glued permanently closing the sides of the spats? If I'm reading your build thread right then you do...I think If the above is right then when you come to suiting up how does the spat go over the shin with you leg in the shin? Or did you rig up a method of closing the side of the spats with the clips/greeblies? Cheers
  8. Hey Evin, Great build mate...I've followed it closely...I'm working on my V3 kit from Jim. Can I ask how you assembled your shins and what method you used to close them! Did you use magnets or velcro to close the outer and inner seams or are there other ways? Cheers
  9. Hey Mark, I applied the stelmax onto the area where I'm fixing the elastic....I then put the elastic in place adding alittle pressure for a min or two then i brush the top of the elastic with the stelmax. The stelmax dries quite quick...Beware when using stelmax as it will distort the plastic by warping it/producing crease's on the finish side of the plastic (especially if you've used too much stelmax)...I like the warping effect as It's more of a screen used build effect....if you prefer the suits in a more sanitized way without the bumps/scuffs and dents you might not want to use stelmax as some people call using stelmax pretty hardcore. Not sure if anyone uses stelmax in a different way but that's how I used it.
  10. Great....Ready for payment instructions. Also I've decided to opt for the screws/pin as well as the electronic parts making the total now $185. Cheers
  11. Interested in the greeblies set only but I'm not on Facebook.
  12. Hi Esther, I'm in the same boat as you just starting my build with Jim's V3 Armour. I'm in filling and sanding mode at the moment. I'm curious with the extra greeblies you ordered. They look sturdy plus nice and clean. Are these resin, 3D printed or other? Are they same size as the set included with Jim's kit? UK based seller? Cheers By the way good luck with your build.
  13. Hey Justin, I'm in for a kit with the add on No.2 (Electronics)... Can I get a shipping quote to the UK. Thanks
  14. Hey Evin, Great build thread mate....The suit looks really good on you. I'm just starting my build with Jim's V3 kit. I noticed with your forearms the clasp greeblies spaces on the underside haven't been filled? I was under the impression that they should be filled? I know in Jim's PDF instructional guide he states to fill the unused spaces on the underside. I've tried to source a screen grab to show the forearm underside and the only one I found was this - So I'm thinking there should be no greblies recess's visible on the underside....Unless you or anyone else knows otherwise?
  15. Very interested in the 30% blow out sale of the pistol's If it goes ahead put me down for one.
  16. Merci beaucoup Germain
  17. I'm not familiar with the INOX screws? I'm looking to order the correct screws needed to finish my build asap. Any chance you can elaborate on your findings.... I know for sure the holster attachment screws are TORX... The other screws used on the blaster are black button head type ??? I also wanted to clarify with you about the 3 screws used on the front grip on top of the rubber material. I'm using your pdf file as my basis to complete the blaster but I haven't seen other people's blasters completed with them in position. Also are these silver and not black and again TORX? Thanks Germain...Sorry if I'm asking alot of questions.
  18. HI Germain, Sorry but can I clarify the screws used on the blaster as the pictures above have confused me. I know the middle picture is showing 2x Button Head Torx screws for the holster attachment...I get that...That's all good. The pics at either end appear to show Button Head Socket screws - These screws use a stand allen key to tighten them and have no middle security pin. I'm using your instructional PDF file as my basis to build my Dday kit and the screws are referred as Torx. Can you confirm if all the blaster screws (except the two holster attachment) are of the type I have pictured above (Button Head Socket screws). Thanks
  19. Thanks Germain....which type do you think is the most used on screen?
  20. I know the Button Head version is used on the F11D. My question relates to the whether the screws have the small dimple in the middle of the head (some refer to this as a security head Torx screw) - Or should the standard Torx screws be used - I know the fixing kit with R2Dan's holster has the security type screws so I'm guessing these are the same screws to use in the F11D aswell? It's hard to tell from some of the F11D pictures posted. Thanks
  21. Hey Mark, I used Stelmax 1985 white glue.
  22. Pics of the build so far - [/uR Need to add the snaps to the shoulder bells and crotch....(Holding out for some Neweys!) Helmet almost finished...so nearly there.
  23. Just seen Anovos will be at Celebration Europe next month....Booth #N1009 This news had made my night
  24. Hey Mark, What you have stated is my biggest concern...The replacement arrives in worse condition than the first! It seems they have no quality control! I can't believe that you had to pay the import duty again...Did they not mark the parcel as "Returns" In the end did you destroy one of the helmets and give them the photographic proof? Bryan
