  1. The Aker is what I use and gives the troopers over the radio sound. The Icomm just adds the random static burst and chirps but doesn’t modify your voice. It is really all you need. The Aker last days on a charge but my Icomm has been on the same battery and lots of troops and on the original battery. My wife’s eats batteries every few months and hardly gets used so I have to remove it between troops. The Aker mic killed my head and ears so bad I had to stop troops at one point so I switched to the one from Ukswrath. I also prefer the push to talk but over the open mic so you can cough and talk to wranglers and hosts without blasting them.
  2. I troop in California and use the nomex gloves that justjoseph recommenced. They are thin, look great and don’t get hot for me although I’m not a big sweater. The rubber gloves are more accurate but too hot and wet.
  3. Thank you but I already have an Anovos preordered for delivery in 2017, LOL[emoji23][emoji24] 7 days and counting till the end of Q3..............
  4. Agreed, I was just at GE on Sunday and Monday and asked if they had any of the FOTK and Kylo helmets in stock? The CM commented that had had plenty in the back and asked how many I wanted and said I could take them now. So damn frustrating......... Separate supply chain my a$$, unless we are going to be shipped all the blems that Disney didn't accept. (Insert your favorite conspiracy theory here)
  5. Looks awesome. Only suggestion would be to change the lions to imperial cogs.
  6. Thank all of you for the review and kind words. I’ll get going on all the improvements immediately and the only way my belt is getting any tighter on the kidney gap is to drop a few pounds so that will be the most difficult and time consuming part, lol [emoji38].
  7. You are correct in the seams but when they specifically say that it is TFA and includes accurate rubber gaskets and then it is TLJ with cloth gaskets that doesn't fall into the Prototype depicted and subject to change. Just to add, as of today 9-23-19 their web page still says it includes latex gaskets for the "Pre-2019 Preorder"..
  8. You mean rubber gaskets like they originally promised when we pre-ordered, along with the TFA version and no seams on the shoulders and sides? Before the bait and switch? Pretty sure that's illegal but I'm no lawyer.
  9. Just received this from Anovos... Greetings Customers and Fans of ANOVOS! Everything we make here at ANOVOS is designed and constructed with keen attention to quality and accuracy. Yet few products in our catalog can rival the time and skill required to create one of our Premier First Order Stormtrooper Ensembles. Before our expert craftsmen could begin creating the first one, it all started with research. Fortunately, our relationship with Lucasfilms allows us behind the scenes access to their archives where the screen-used film assets are stored. Our research team of industry professionals then meticulously examined the original armor and 3D scanned it piece by piece for further study and review. With this data we not only created the armor to conform to film specifications, but are sincerely proud of how well it turned out. We truly believe you will consider this armor to be the pride of your collection. This complete ensemble is listed at $6915.00 USD and is made ready to wear. For this offering, we anticipate an early Q2 2020 delivery date and we wanted to reach out and give you a chance to claim one of the few slots available for this limited run. For those who have already purchased this ensemble prior to 9/9/2019, shipping remains as previously scheduled for delivery in Q4 2019. If you would like to take advantage of this limited offering, simply reply to this message and we will be happy to assist you with your order. 11. Pretty sure that is a typo, it should read July 1,2019 - September 30,2019. At least I hope it is.
  12. It appears to be a form email that was sent out by mistake and none of the specific product info was selected for the form by the sender. So...yes, Anovos can't even send out an email correctly.
  13. As far as I have seen on the interwebs there have been zero shipments from Anovos for any of the many items that have been promised in Q3 which is over in just a few weeks. Even their Facebook and Twitter pages haven't had any activity since July so although I am still holding out hope for some stupid reason, things are not looking good once again.
  14. Ok @shashachu, I got to work today. Here is the frown, let me know if it is cleaned up enough please. HOVI Tips And Shoulder bells. And for future TK reference, nothing would touch the Umbrol Gray frown paint. I tired alcohol, mineral spirits and lacquer thinner and it didn't even take the shine off. I had to use an X-acto knife and dental pick to actually scrape the paint off.
  15. I'm pretty skinny so there really wasn't a gap.
  16. Thank you so much for the quick review. I’ll get the bucket fixed today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Don’t get discouraged. I’m 6’3 200lbs and using the standard Anovos kit. Built for Centurion level and finally getting around to applying for EIB. I didn’t have to shim anything. The biggest thing is spacing things like thighs and shins and arms to make the gaps look proportional.
  18. Thank you for the suggestions. The bicep was rotated and I can reshoot pictures with it correct. The frown was completely stripped by me then entirely repainted. If it is too far up on a few teeth I will have to try some white paint. Small brush and shaky hands are a bad combo, LOL. I'll get the mike tip edges touched up.
  19. Anyone know what's up with the photo upload? First post would only let me upload 1.6mb which was one picture and now it won't even let me upload one and is down to .86mb max.
  20. Finally after taking way too long to submit here we go and I plan to immediately apply for Centurion. No more dragging feet. TK-76131 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status. 21. I have done a few of the Doopy Doo’s and like them. If you take your time they are very accurate, have a good weight and are really good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
