  1. So just to clarify for me Vern. Movie accurate would be gloss black on the grip and flat black on all other parts with no weathering?
  2. I am not an expert and only a nooby but I like the hard clean lines. I think it looks much more expensive and menacing than their prototype. What do the experts think as far as accuracy and approval? That is if this is the actual one shipping.
  3. So I am new here and working on my first Doopy E-11 but I am still confused on finish. Everything I hear on FISD is for screen accuracy but as soon as you get to the blaster topic everyone wants to make a realistic Sterling with weathering and all the brass and steel showing to look like the military issue ones. For an E-11 though shouldn't it get a simple spray of flat black on everything but the grip? Isn't that how the prop department did it? Or, is it just a preference as to if you are making a Sterling SMG or an E-11?
  4. I am hoping to see some shadow troopers in RO. Would bring some canon cred to the one I have on order from the "A" company that is not to be named.
  5. There is also the chance that these are the stunt men. Their armor would have to be more forgiving for mobility and taking a fall so it might not be the standard issue Rogue One TK armor. Just a thought.
  6. Not sure why there is so much negativity any time someone mentions Anovos. What happened to troopers helping troopers?
  7. ANOVOS We are still producing the completed ensemble options as well as the standalone helmets. We are not canceling the kit version, simply putting it in the "ANOVOS Vault" until we know all existing pre-orders are fulfilled. smile emoticon This is a way for us to better serve customers and minimize disappointment should we be unable to ship due to low inventory. The kit option will likely return in late 2016.
  8. No Tomas, you are not missing anything. There has not been a December newsletter. We are just checking their Facebook page.
  9. I think you are correct, that is how I interpreted it too. I think the kit will eventually be back once all pre-orders are filled but the price will probably go up too.
  10. I guess if you have been on the fence, now is the time to jump. I am glad to see they are thinking ahead and keeping some reserves for exchanges and not just selling beyond their capacity.
  11. Well, here is an update... NOTICE: December 31, 2015 will be the FINAL DAY to pre-order the Original Trilogy Stormtrooper armor KIT with completed helmet so that we do not exhaust inventory for customers who pre-ordered or require exchanges. This does not affect availability of completed ensembles or standalone helmets which are still available for pre-order. If you were considering our Original Trilogy Stormtrooper armor kit, please make your pre-order by December 31, 2015: http://bit.ly/22yti9a Thank you!‪#‎StarWars‬ ‪#‎ANOVOS‬ ANOVOS The shipping process is starting, with deliveries expected to begin in January 2016! smile emoticon "ANOVOS If you are considering buying the full completed ensemble then you have time. If you wanted to buy the kit version, which you assemble yourself, you must order by December 31st" ANOVOS No, after December 31, 2015, you will only be able to pre-order completed ensembles and standalone helmets (kit or complete). The armor kits will not be available until future notice. Once pre-order is closed you would think they will start shipping. I wonder if there will be a price increase?
  12. I know nobody here can do anything about it. I was just saying they are running out of time for the promised December newsletter.
  13. So........ How about that December newsletter?
  14. I check this thread every day to see if there is any word and like most I am very excited. I don't see what all the hate and negativity is for though. I pre-ordered at Celebration and they made it very clear that they only had a target date of Winter 2015 and that I would be charged the full $350 at point of sale. There were no surprises and they were upfront so I took the risk. For all of those complaining you knew what you were getting into and why you were getting it cheaper. If you are tired of waiting just get a full refund. I am not for or against Anovos as they have not broken any promises or been misleading so we will just have to wait and let the product speak for them once it arrives.
  15. So I just saw this posted 2 minutes ago on Anovos's Facebook page... ANOVOS Hi Matt, thank you for that. We are being careful to be more clear about shipping vs delivery. For example, the Original Trilogy Stormtrooper armor is currently on the way from the warehouse to our fulfillment center. From there, soft goods will be added to the boxes in the appropriate size, and then the entire package will ship to customers. The first kits *should* (always an estimate because of transportation delays, acts of God, etc.) be in customer hands in January (if not sooner). Hope this helps---we know the anticipation is unbearable! It would appear that they aren't even to the shipping warehouse yet so looks like December might be out.
  16. Has anyone tried doing something similar to this with the plasti dip? It seems like a ton of people are doing it on their wheels and cars now. It is offered in a bunch of colors and is said to remove easily.
  17. If you got the ANOVOS TK do not buy the Doopy pipe kit as it does not have the scope, the counter or the power cells that you will need to be correct for the Anovos TK. The Doopy full kit does come up quite often but you need to get on the "notify me when it comes in" list. I just happened to check the site one morning two weeks ago and they were in stock to my surprise so I ordered one and just got the shipping notice two days ago. So they are still making them they just sell out fast. I would not bother with the pipe kit, just wait for the full kit, get the completion kit from T-Jay and the magazine from Gazmosis and be done with it.
  18. You might want to look up ANOVOS too. Although they have not shipped any Classic trooper helmets yet some people have started to receive their First Order Trooper helmets.
  19. Darn it. Don't burst my bubble.
  20. I ordered mine at Celebration so I assume I am in the first wave and just checked my email. No shipping notice as of yet. I would think they will send out the newsletter before any shipping starts.
  21. I saw these at Launch Bay and I am pretty sure these were pre-production units. I also got the email with Captain Phasma and they look awesome. My wife was ready to order one until she saw the $650 price. Wow, that is almost double what we paid for the entire Classic TK. Too much money in my opinion.
  22. So..... I am no shipping expert but shouldn't they check their inventory and have things ready before the labels and notification are even generated? One would think..... 1. Check inventory, Yep we have 200 helmets. 2. Generate 200 labels with tracking. 3. Ship 200 helmets. Then again what do I know? Arrgghhh, at this rate their Classic TK shipment will not make December as they said.
  23. I thought it opened the 18th?
  24. I say get the classic now at the lower cost and take your time building it and enjoy it. Then in a year or two you can decide how much you actually use it and see if you want to pay the higher cost for the FO and if they are even available. You could always sell the classic to recoup some of the cost of the FO.
  25. Welcome to the Anovos waiting list. The hard armor is one size fits most. If you are taller or shorter or wider than the specs there is a very good chance you can make it fit but it might be a little extra work. It should not be that hard but if you are going for 501st approval you will need to get the fit correct. For example I am 6'2" at 195 lbs and think I should be able to make it fit. For the under suit or arming suit just go with whatever size you usually order your cloths in. Worst case you will have to buy a suit online for about $30 US. It is just a spandex under suit.
