  1. Ordered 4/19....Got email from FedEx around 11:30 last night. Should be here Wednesday depending on the blizzard here in NY. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  2. Waiting for mine to ship....But the photos and videos make me very excited for the quality. Especialy at $350...I also got the shadow at the tier 1 price. Fun times ahead! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  3. Yes and no. Looking at some more pictures it looked like the diagram was correct so I went with that. Yes I will definitely be adding the wires. I still need to do the rear bi-pod post so that I can place the last 2 t-tracks. Once those are in place I can add the wires. I can't wait until it's done and painted and I can show off the BFG!! Haha I did do some more work on it. I attached the butt stock the the gun. Used some dowels and green stuff modeling epoxy. This picture is a bit over exposed but shows the size upon completion. It definitely is a BFG! Some t-track detail... Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  4. I feel I am a bit scattered in the build. I guess it's because I have multiple things in process and I have to wait sometimes for the glue to dry. Anyways, here is some more process. I attached the middle sight to the tube with some E6000, will just need to use some bondo later to fill some imperfections, or I might leave it for a weathered look. I have also attached most of the t-tracks. Some need to be added after the rear bi-pod post. On the bi-pod foam greeblies I coated them with 3 coats of white glue to seal the foam and allow for better painting later. Finished the greeblie box that goes on top of the ammo box. The longer this takes me the more details I seem to want to add. Looking at the top of a DLT-19 right above the ammo box I see the gun has 3 "screws", a dip, another "screw", and comes to a point as seen in this picture. So I decided to give it a go. I am going to use three sheets of plastruct and some greeblies to get this look. Gluing the 3 pieces together. Also started some work on the bi-pod attacment piece. Cut a dowel and some foam to achieve the look of the original. I have had an unusual amount of time to work on it, hopefully it continues. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the kind words. You didn't like the music? Haha I can see some of the top T-tracks but the bottom ones are difficult to see. I will try to find some more pictures but thanks for helping.
  6. Question for anyone out there....I am trying to figure out the proper placement for the t-tracks. Does anyone have good reference pictures? The only thing I am finding is this: I would just like to see it in the barrel too. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  7. Here is a mini update compared to the last one. I wanted to work on what I think it's called the ammo box/feeder. With my build I know I can't get to 100% accuracy, but I want to keep the "look and feel" of the gun. So this is what I was trying to replicate: I made a rectangle box out of some wood and on top of that I am using some plastruct to replicate the other greeblie. This is all just guesses on my part from the pictures that I have been able to see. I still need to sand the pieces together and add the "cuts" in the front piece as seen in the reference pictures. Thanks for looking. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks it took some time haha Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks guys. I was just going to use a wood dowel for the charging handle, but I am going to look for a knurled tube probably from a flashlight. Your handle sounds amazing. Very ingenious. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  10. BIG UPDATE! Was able to get back to building after the holidays. This is from the last two weekends. So I started to work on the bi-pod. I am using the shelf mounts. I cut them to size, cut off the ends, and glued them back together. Then I filled in the holes in the "feet" end. Tried tidying up the sections that were glued together. To give it more of the true bi-pod look I used Astyanax's trick with the 6 mm foam for some greeblies. Next I used some 2 mm foam to make some of the barrel more accurate. Also did some work on the gun/cocking handle. Trimmed the gun down where there was a bump and used some plastruct to create the "slider" part of the cocking handle. Put a few greeblies for looks. Then I added the "spikes" to the bi-pod. This last part of the update is something that took a lot of time and different techniques. It was fun and I think it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think. (Also the hole on the side, should it be a hole or just part way drilled? I have seen it both ways.) Thanks for looking! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  11. That's what I read somewhere too. Shipped from China, goes through customs and into fulfillment center for shipment to us. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  12. I think the helmet and armor will be more "sanitized" with crisp lines and smooth plastic. No info, just a feeling.
  13. From the beginning they said winter. Yes, some of the updates seemed to be a bit more optimistic, but winter ends in March. So they still have some time before they are "late". Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  14. Some people on their also don't understand the definition of winter and think it's late if it didn't ship by the end of December. Smh
  15. Better hurry. Preorder for the lot ends today. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  16. I am currently building a poor man's DLT with the base of a build your own blaster. A few others have used this too. Just another option. Also your build is very nice!! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  17. Yay!!! It certainly seems eminent now. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  18. Nope. They said tier 1 orders ship first, followed by tier 2, then the rest.
  19. Also check out WTF or walts trooper factory in Facebook. I believe he is currently doing a red TK and he also does regular white and black armor. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  20. Check out this place. A lot of us use this. http://store.voicebooster.com/icomm-imperial-communication-system/ Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  21. The armor requires bondo work, sanding, and painting which is very time consuming. It is more akin to building clone trooper armor.
  22. From what I gather $1800 was the price for the people in the 501st that already got the "pre-production" ones from Anovos already. Doubt they would sell it to the "public" for less than that. It comes in kit form and requires a TON of work to put together.
