  1. So today was T-track day. I was able to do it, but not 100% satisfied. So I used the hot water method to bend the ends and then trimmed them to fit. Some are better than others and they are not all flush with the tube. I messed around for a few hours and could not get it perfect. I used some E600 to glue in the ends. Hopefully they look better to my eyes tomorrow.
  2. You have inspired me. I am finishing up my E-11 right now, but after that I am doing this!
  3. It sure does! Here is a short video showing the lights and sounds before I put the folding stock on.
  4. Next up was painting the handle gloss black, started with some primer. I also affixed the folding stock. The real stock adds a lot of weight to the pipe/resin build.
  5. A new update came out. Molds will be made from aluminum and they are still on target for late November/early December.
  6. So I have another update for today. Here are some in progress pictures of the electronics. Here is a picture showing where I placed the selector switch for laser/stun. I had to come up with something for the batteries (3×AAA). I got a cylindrical battery holder so I can place it in the tube and used some very flexible wires so I will be able to pull it out and replace the batteries when needed. This also shows the speaker held in place with an o-ring. After that did some drilling on the scope rail and scope. Throughout the process I hadn't painted the bolt since that's where the electronics were going, so I taped it off to paint that silver. More to come....
  7. I think Walt is doing TIEs now. Look up Walt's trooper factory (WTF) on Facebook.
  8. Well it's been awhile since I updated my progress. I have finally gotten some time to work on it. I should have it completed in the not too distant future. Did a little work on the scope. I had some bubbles/pitting on some parts so I tried some green stuff for the first time. Next I hit the pieces with some primer. After that was some flat black. The last update I have is some assembly of parts. My next step is to paint the bolt and do final assembly. I am doing the bolt last as that is where all my electronics are at. Once I am all done I will do a video as well so you guys can see what how it turned out with lights, sounds, and a sterling folding stock.
  9. Where is my September update??? Really hoping they make the late November/early December timeline. Just went to a troop with my local 501st and really want to start trooping.
  10. I am certainly no expert, but just seeing these pictures it's hard to tell since they are at different angles. To my untrained eye it looks good.
  11. I got mine through the Anovos storm trooper build page. They are being passed around.
  12. Haha. I just felt I needed some LED's and pew pew.
  13. I like what you did there, but that switch certainly wouldn't fit without gutting it pretty bad. I like the idea. I am going to look for something a bit smaller.
  14. You can buy a Disney storm trooper blaster, but it and use the electronics. The blaster is around $25. It's got decent sound and red/blue LED's for fire/stun. You can check out my build thread. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/32481-Allan1313's-Phoenix-Props-E11-build Allan1313's Phoenix Props E11 build
  15. I was hoping for the entire suit, not just the helmet [emoji22]
  16. So when is Anovos going to drop some more info on TFA armour??
  17. Ok, it's been awhile since I last posted. I took a bit of a break because I was apprehensive about doing the trigger. I decided to enlist the help of my father, a retired engineer. Of course I forgot to take some in progress shots, but this is what we came up with. We made a new trigger out of some rosewood since we needed it to be longer to have a pivot point. We then drilled out an area for the trigger movement. Added a screw(which will be cleaned up later) for the pivot point and a spring from a pen. Now to decide where to put the selector switch. Open to some ideas if you have them.
  18. I think there are cheaper TIE pilot kits out there, with a smaller wait time. The TK kit was so enticing becuase of price. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks. Yeah the Disney blaster is so simple it made it very easy.
