So I ordered a fabric backed foam that I will be using. Using Paratroopers build as a basis for my own. I was hoping to get the material locally, but nothing could be found. So I had to source it elsewhere and should be delivered Monday. The material itself is a bit thin at only 3/16" but I'll have a full yard to work with. I was thinking I may just build a summer and a winter variant. Plus I may very well be able to use some of it as armor padding later on when I get my armor, which is still not ordered. I'll update with pics when I get started. I would also be great fun for any help or pointers as I go, especially from any of you from the cooler regions. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk

Nomex flight gloves. Use elastic around wrist and middle two fingers in the plate or glue Velcro to latex and sew to glove.<br><br> I was wondering how that worked on leather gloves.

I'm curious is the fusion krylon regular paint or is it formulated for plastics? I can't recall off the top of my head. If it isn't the plastic formula may cover better with fewer coats.

I went with some grease monkey gloves I just picked up yesterday. I'd be curious to know what you get and how well they work.

I hear that cotton gloves help with that sweating issue.

So I ended up going with some grease monkey gloves. Now I have a question, is there a way to get rid of the powdery look? I would like to get a little more of a black look, as they are they look dried out.

So I haven't built any armor yet and mostly lurk through threads here. I am finding this topic rather curious and wonder how will the screen versions of the DT impact what we now call Death troopers? How will they be differentiated and will there be name adjustments for the two?<br> Like I said it is just curiousity for me.
