  1. Photobucket photos still while not show as pics on the threads, it only lists the links. Any help is appreciated
  2. In shoulder, do you mean the flat surface that the cover strip is over? If so, there should be no flat area present. If you look at my pics, due to my thigh size, I had to leave a flat portion in the front. With that, I made sure that the flat portions were identical on both sides of the cover strip for both thighs. I did build my kit to EIB/Cent standards but because of the kit's chest and back armor and my sides not coming together (beer) I cannot get approved for them. In all honesty, the thighs look great but I'll let some of the vets chime in as I would hate to see you tear them apart for no reason. I also looked at the CRL and if you look at the right thigh, it looks like it has a small flat portion showing near the top of the thigh.
  3. Look through my bucket sunce it's not letting me post single pics

  5. No thanks needed. I'll try to DL a pic of my legs for reference. With the shins, make sure your boots are on as it will push them up slightly and may affect the thigh placement
  6. <br> Great job so far Kirk. Well done on the weathering
  7. Ahhhhhhhhh. Great day when the big brown box shows up. The AM 2.0 kit is a great kit and is pretty easy to work with. The first cut is the hardest but once you do it, all that nervousness will fade. Most like I did, start with the forearms or biceps as they are pretty easy. Research the CRL for what you need to do for each armor piece as the CRL is what you must follow for approval. Ask questions and the peeps here will help you out. Good luck and looking forward to watch your build
  8. Great work so far Joe. My thigh build was worse than my ears for my bucket. Armor looks good. The hand plates are facing the correct way, just trim the lip edge around the front off. I would finish the thighs and then start the strapping. Once you start the strapping it will pull everything where it needs to sit, like the back plate and biceps and butt plate. You can also attach the plastic shoulder straps to the chest plate. Add the straps on the shoulder bells that wrap around the biceps and attach the clip on the biceps to hold the strap. I also added a snap on the inside rear of the bicep and another in the shoulder bell and attached a piece of elastic to both. This will keep the biceps up and they won't fall down and give you an armor bite. Great job so far

  10. To be honest I'm not sure how bindi works. Post up some pics of the thigh build so I can see. What you can use is extra scrap abs from your cuts and acetone to make a slurry. Use the slurry to act as a bonding agent. There are a bunch of builds on here that used that method. I'll try and find some of the links. Again, the thighs were the most frustrating of my build.
  11. Looks great. Satin black is the correct color. The ears look good as well. The rank bars are your choice. I went with a screen shot that has 2 bars on one ear and 3 on the other. Also there have been discussions on the board about rank bar placement. Last I saw and what i did, the rank bars go between the bumps on the ears, not on the bumps. Also you want the tube stripes to be the width of a pencil away from the side (tear area) on the bucket. Some peeps put them too far away and it doesn't look right. For your TD, put a fuzzy side piece of velco on the clip side that goes against your armor. This will stop the metal clip from gouging your armor when you put it on and take it off. Great job so far and awesome job staying an ESB. I may be a little biased but I think we look cooler and there doesn't seem to be as many ESB TK's. Keep the pics coming
  12. No no. ESB is the way to go and we look cooler . Here to help or give advise if you want. I finished my kit in May and have made mods every troop. This will happen as you will see what needs to be sanded or trimmed. Near armor bites yet which is a plus.
  13. Welcome to the shiny White armor. I built an AM 2.0 as my first build. I opened and closed the big brown box for 3 weeks before I made my first cut. The first cut is the hardest and once you do it, you will see that you can build your armor and there is no need to worry. Listen to what others have said about research. Everything you need is here on the boards. I started, like others with the biceps, the forearms. They seem to be the easiest. Good luck and I'm looking forward to watching this build.
  14. Great build (from an AM 2.0 TK to another)
  15. Congrats Stu. Here's to your approval. Great job on your build
  16. Don't worry about light shining through. That won't be seen with your armor.
  17. Nice work so far. Don't let the ears frustrate you
