1. Congrats Jc. Good looking armor !
2. You shouldn't get dinged for the bicep straps. I don't see the clips on the biceps to hold the strap though. I had them and removed them, just keeping the strap going from the bicep to the shoulder bell. I'll try to attach pics from my build if I can get them to work. You should move this or start a build thread under ESB. You will get the experts to chime in
3. To get a good reference you will need to take pics of front, back and sides both with arms down and arms raised. Couple things I see that were already mentioned above. You may want to taper the thigh armor at the knee so you don't get the "church bell" look. Shorten the elastic from the shoulder bell to the elastic strap under the shoulder bridge. The CRL and screen grabs don't have the hooks and straps on the biceps. That is on ANH. I originally built my ESB with them and got rid of them. You can't run an elastic strap from the inside of the bicep armor to the inside of the shoulder bell (back side where tricep is) Set it in that groove in both and that will keep them aligned. I fear you may have trimmed too much off your chest armor. I say that because I'm 6'02 265 and my chest piece is a lot bigger than that, that is if you have the AM 2.0. Your missing your belt boxes on your belt. Just some things I'm seeing but see what the pros have to say
4. I'll echo droid hunter on these guys. They are good people and are making some good blasters I saw the do-19 first hand and it is amazing They also did a ion blaster and a Kalus blaster They just finished a ESB E-11 for me I'll pick it up and post pics here As are as hyper firm, I believe they are rubber and un-breakable
5. Thanks for the responses. I'm puzzled as to why myself Germain. Here are a couple of possibilities. My kit was out stored in garage and it was cold past couple of days. It seems like my back plate shifted up with a move and pushed the bridge up, cracking it at the point where it is glued to the chest plate. Hope that make sense. I also have a strap from the chest to the ab to keep it from moving up. I may remove it to take the stress off. I'll try and snap a pic. Andrew, thanks for the info on the fix. I'll start on that this week.
6. I need some advise on an issue I just had with the plastic (abs) shoulder bridges. My bridge cracked due to stress from it being pulled down where it connects to the back armor. Any suggestions ??? Untried to re-enforece it with abs pieces but it failed. Sorry but I don't have pics for a reference.
7. Joe, listen to Germain. He is the expert on everything TK.
8. Wow, just Wow. Bucket off to both of you...couldn't be more prouder of two people I never met.
9. hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. cannot stress that enough. Most of all.....have fun. Your first troop will also let you know what, if any mod's you will need to make to your armor. Good luck, it's all worth it
10. Well done on the bucket. The ears are the biggest pain but it looks like you nailed it
11. Interesting idea with the shoulder bridges. Love thinking outside the box. Nice work on the snaps too
12. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_16/med_gallery_12157_16_24471.jpgHere is a pic for the snap on the ab. Just make sure the snap faces inward as if your were going to snap it on the inside of your armor. The ab buttons look great. The butt snaps, I don't believe there are specific measurements due to different armor parts. The top one should be visible from the back. My butt snaps were later trimmed. I took the whole flat bottom part off and the installed the snaps. Im trying to find the post on the drop boxes for you. Great job so far. You are moving along nicely
13. Awesome. Good luck with your build. Definitely go easy with the dremel.
14. Thanks for the info Jeff ! I'll try it out in a little while.
15. E6000 is a lot easier than ca glue which is what I used. If you rub it it will ball up and come off. You are so right, all armor is different just as people's body sizes and won't be "perfect". Your doing great with your build and the little details you are doing will make your centurion app a no brainer for approval. Can't wait to see the pics
16. no worries... Steve is correct and better at this than me. I got beat up over the angled corners of my belt. No place in the CRL does it state that the trimmed edge should not go past the canvas part of the belt, but i digress. Sorry if i'm a little cautious and i'd defer to the vets like Steve. Your build is coming along nicely.
17. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/22-howto-assemble-thighs-butt-join-with-cover-strips/ Here is a great build thread. I looks like there is again a very small flat portion on this as well. Like millimeter size. Hope this helps
18. its not you, its something with the forums. That's why my links haven't been displayed.
