  12. Awesome, keep up the great work
  13. On a good note I purchased an awesome set of ear buds last week that are excellent for cancelling out outside noise making my EAS even clearer. If anyone is interested. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-PCX95-ear-neckband-headphones/dp/B00DZIQR2Y
  14. Well I have a mic on order but I was notified it's on back order, 2 weeks.
  15. Looks great Russell. Question, given the meticulous care you're put into your armor so far I'm assuming you shooting for Centurion?
  16. Any audio or video for others to check out?
  17. Eric has good point, there's positives and negatives for each system. Eventually it will come down to preference. Things to consider when purchasing. 1) price 2) options 3) adaptability Finally, though I can't compare the two (side by side) I do have a video me using the ROM/FX. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbbsabITa7o. If Eric or someone else has one with the iComm please post it.
  18. Hey Walter, thanks sir and you shall
  19. Yes, please give us a follow up on the reed switches.
  20. Blemished tkboots are better than the top notch Imperials INHO. Beautiful!
  21. Well take a look at this switch. Depending on the thickness of plastic in that area and how strong the earth magnet you put in your glove you might be able to pull it of with something like this. https://www.inventables.com/technologies/magnetic-switch-normally-open
  22. There isn't a button per say however, you can set the time delay it begins transmitting. So, ex. you briefly cough it doesn't immediately broadcast it. With that said, I haven't really played around with that feature to be completely honest, so I can't give you any realistic feedback. I use the default settings the ROM/FX came with and really don't have any problems, and yes I cough and make other natural noises without complaints from others around me. With my TD and HWT set ups I've been toying around with the idea of using a micro switch to interrupt my TK chatter chatter so I can speak without being interrupted. My plan is to use a micro pressure or magnetic switch but this is still in the development stages.
  23. Joeseph my first electronics setup was a HTT Voice changer also. The mics are actually pretty good, it's the voice modifier and amp that are lackluster. I still used the mic with my ROM/FX but I trash canned everything else. A great alternative is the mic I have listed on my helmet electronics build thread from Radio Shack, it's very sensitive. You will need to solder wires to it though, it's not plug and play sorry.
  24. WAIT! I thought the primary purpose of the player was to throw on boogie music to dance to while trooping. Man I've really have to start paying attention more.
