  1. Ditto! How'd you make yours Charles?
  2. HA! I made a similar hat. Awesome!
  3. This is by far the most meticulous build tutorial I have ever seen. This is like a military grade build, loving it! John I will say your cover strip retaining elastic is a bit wide though. It should be around 1/8" - 3/16". Though it won't effect EIB I'm sure Steve will mention something about it as you go for Centurion. Just an FYI. Edit: here's a pic. Again, great job
  4. In ROTJ screen and armor archive shots you can definitely see 10 but I've had a hard time finding a clear ANH shots. Not that it matters but the "Dave M" decals on Tbay are 12 also. Again, 12 it is then.
  5. Hey Chris hold tight a bit on the traps, let's get some facts first. We should have an answer soon. Stunt - 1 black stripe on the ear, generally on the bump closest to the rear of the helmet. EDIT: Greg and I must have been typing at the same time haha
  6. Looking awesome Russell. Calves look beautiful, your height is fine Answer: 1) I installed industrial velcro on the front of the boot and inside the shin. I stitch the velcro on the boot for added security. It Serves two purposes, keeps my shins facing forward and eliminates shin hike. 2) Ummm... wouldn't worry too much about this, everyone's gonna see your black undies whether you like it or not, it's par for the course . Keeping the shins down over the boot is your goal.
  7. Great job David For a second there while reading your post I had a flashback to my nightmare. You've got some knowledgeable help obviously keeping you on the right track.
  8. Any build that starts off with WTF I'm following. If the build doesn't excite me the innuendos are sure to
  9. I believe what is being said is if you go with brackets (without additional support) they MAY crack thicker ABS but like Todd has mentioned, adding additional support to the brackets (basically, dispersing the stress of the bracket has on thicker ABS) should prevent the cracking from happening. Brackets and loops are canon, snaps are not. Either type will be accepted at the Centurion level.
  10. Hey Charles when's this going to happen?
  11. I understand. BTW you're not bothering us, we're here for you
  12. Hey Brandon stopped by to see how things are going. Rooting for you sir
  13. Speaking of which, you should also post this on the MEPD site to get even more accurate feedback. Just a thought.
  14. Hey Jose nice build sure, I truly love the ATA lines, beautiful armor. A few things you will need to address (change), but they should take you no time at all. 1) According to the CRL "Thigh ammo belt is attached to thigh with a solid head rivet or fastener in the upper corner and fastened to the lower thigh ridge. The solid head rivet attachment is painted white." 2) According to the CRL "Sniper knee plate must not have visible rivets or fasteners attaching it to the shin" 3) It appears the front of the belt should come up a 1" or so, but you can easily tighten your belt to accomplish this. Again, great job sir
  15. I always though it was 12 however, in this capture edited in Photoshop I count 10. Maybe some Steve can chime in here.
  16. I think at this point you should just take credit for custom cover strip technique. I've been looking all over on build threads with no luck. I think you're just being modest Russell
  17. Yea I didn't notice your because your request states"Trooper emulated: Sergeant Desert Trooper" Thought they were different from the "Look Sir" for some reason.
  18. Most likely you can remedy the issue by just thinning out the ears. Left side - thin out the upper (round section), and lower rear portion. Right side - thin out the entire ear to compensate for the left. This is my ATA Cantina Captain bucket. The ears are a bit on the thin side but uniform.
