  1. Looking awesome Josh. See you on the other side soldier.
  2. This is so freaking (no pun intended) awesome, I'm in awe. Outstanding!
  3. Again, it's not a deal breaker for either yours or Kredal's build, you guys will be fine. I just brought it to light in case you or someone else is interested in knowing. Keep up the good work.
  4. The last picture, calf lower edge, see how it's rounded? This is where I'm suggesting those be cut straight. With that said, in this area it won't matter being the spats cover the lower shins. EDIT: From what I can see the tops look good.
  5. Thanks for the kudos brother
  6. Hey no problem and no pressure Simon, just checking in.
  7. A good rule to everyone building TFAs is to NOT round off the top and bottom joining edge corners as they will need to appear seemless in some areas of the armor.
  8. Hey Ty, for the record E6000 I've been told by the Alpha group, is too flexible and the areas that have bondoed seems are prone to cracking. Regarding the Devcon, it's pretty much the same as the over the counter plastic welders everyone else is using however, the Devcon in my experience though rigid has a bit of flexibility (pliable), similar to the ABS but not as flexible. Time will tell how it holds up. The reason I went with the Devcon Welder II is because plastic welder type glues are what is recommended for the build and I wanted to use something that is known in the professional auto body world to be the best plastic adhesive designed take abuse, not to mention it's very easy to apply. Hope this helps
  9. To clarify, this is by no means a approval deal breaker, it's just an observation. In my AM build (pic provided) you'll notice how close the return edge is to the cover strip.
  10. Except CRL requirements I didn't know there was the "official way" to build armor lol. As Walter stated take your time and enjoy the ride. We're here to help.
  11. Hey Kirk, quick question. Is it the angle of the pic or is there a reason the front of your shin return edges are so far outside your cover strips?
  12. Paul I have to say it's very nice to see builder/seller in the forums assisting new troopers with their armor instead of sitting back and collecting a buck.
  13. Lol well I do use washers but just the standard steel you'd use. Hey, if it works. Gotta love the creativity.
  14. Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/NOVUS-7100-Plastic-Polish-Kit/dp/B002UCYRZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440720306&sr=8-1&keywords=novus&pebp=1440720312454&perid=18P9EZBGGMPRH1513B6N$15 for all three grits plus rags
  15. Chris, build times typically depend on your crafting skills and how much time you dedicate to it. Some take a month or two, some take several. It's truly up to you. If you post a build thread you'll progress faster, IMHO being you will have others like my self assisting you along the way.
  16. Hey Terry I noticed you haven't submitted for EIB yet, are you still building?
  17. Hey Lee how's the progress?
  18. Hey Sean what's new brother? You should be about done right?
  19. How's the progress Simon?
  20. Very cool Phillip. Good luck with your Deployed submission.
