Modding the Icomm with an external battery.
ukswrath replied to Sly11's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Battery (Amazon)- JESSPOW 10440 Li-ion Rechargeable Batteries 3.7V 350mAh I'm sure similar batteries from other manufactures will work, I just haven't tested any others yet. The AAA battery holder with leads are everywhere also. Lastly, I found a wall charger for the battery. Everything is relatively inexpensive. Don't quote me on the wall charger just yet, I'm still running some tests. Everything else works great so far- 38 replies

You must be in IT security, or hush hush branch of the military 😆. If you’re really concerned about your identity don't post anything with your face. Though that option may be off the table whennit comes to 501st approval. Your garrison GMO may require a bucket off head shot. If that concerns you ask them if it's optional.

I'm in the same situation. Only thing you should be concerned about is if you play stupid games, you may win a stupid prizes. Simply put, don't draw attention to yourself. Im assuming your face is already somewhere on the net.

Modding the Icomm with an external battery.

For the iComm battery do-it-yourselfers. I have an update on the battery some might be interested in I've been testing a 10440 350mAH rechargeable battery with great success. It's about the size of a AAA, greatly reducing the footprint. The current version iComm has roughly a 7.2v mah draw when in use. In layman's terms the smaller battery can sufficient operate the iComm over a full weekend, easily.- 38 replies

My first choice of swag to give out are collectable cards. Even if you don't have any of yourself yet, pick up a pack somewhere, autograph them, then hand those out. Second, anything that represents Stormtrooper. Avoid anything small enough a young child can get ahold of and choke on. Fans will remember you in costume above anything else

I connected mine to my inner suspension harness. Very similar to how the movie armor was done. Though this option is obviously not required. -
CRL Heavy Weapons Trooper
ukswrath replied to TK-51103's topic in CRL's and check lists Quick access
We have a saying at my company, follow the written instructions, not the image, though you do have a legitimate question. FWIW I have a Centurion HWT. The ammo pouch stitching is black. Unless something has changed in the CRL lately, I believe this is the rule. If so, the photos simply need to be updated to match the instructions. -
