  1. Alright David thanks for your patience and your Centurion application. Let's get to it shall we. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Great looking build sir. As you know at Centurion we want your armor to look its best. There are several areas Sly and myself feel need some attention before we pin that sweet Centurion badge on your chest. 1. Close shoulder bell bell gap. There needs to be very little gap here. 2. Right forearm is lower than the left. Can you bring it up so that it's level with the left side. 3. Thighs are a bit low. Are they as high up as the can go? We'd like to see them a little higher if possible. Should look more like this. 4. Back plate to Kidney gap is to be little to no gap according to the CRL. This can be fixed by adjusting your straps. 5. Posterior overlapping the kidney. Again adjust the connecting straps Should look more like this 6. Tube stripes are a little large (too thick). We suggest you thin them out a bit please 7. We'd also like you the touch up the black outline around the rear traps where it looks like the paint bleed under the tape. 8. Forearm return edge. As stated in the CRL there can be absolutely no return edge. 9. Chest raises above the ab when arms raised. The CRL states the chest plate overlaps the abdominal plate. This can be fixed by simply shortening the connecting straps. Here's a screen reference pic We know there are a few items to work on but most of them are pretty simple fixes. You've done a fine job on your build so far. Make these adjustment and post updated pictures and the badge is yours.
  2. 14a. Hand Guards Trimming Note: The plastic hand guards are accepted at Basic and EIB levels but will need to be replaced with the flexible version for Centurion.
  3. Good question JJ let's see what we can find out
  4. Thanks for the comparison pics Criston

  7. 3b. Shins cont.. Sniper Knee Trimming
  8. 7b. Thighs cont... Ammo Belt Trimming
  9. 4b. AB cont... Buttons Trimming Green lines are cut lines Edges are then squared off. NOTE: Rounded corners or return edges are not recommended at basic, and are NOT allowed at the higher levels of approval. In this build thread the edges were squared just before painting which I illustrated at a later date however, to eliminate confusion I'm posting it here as well. Thanks for the recommendation Zerop1ng, troopers helping troopers
  10. Yea, thought the same thing also
  11. Only the left as seen in the pic Paul provided above, and yes you are correct Troopermaster
  12. Great information, thanks Paul
  13. You're too fast for me haha
  14. Alright some of you may be following my build thread and know I'm have a couple concerns with possible oddly shaped areas and melted and/or paper thin areas. Here's a couple pics. Is anyone else having similar issues? Melted? The heavy bend in the left side Kidney is normal Melted?
  15. Alright folks this thread is so the FISD community can discuss the good and the not so good aspects of the new armor. I'd like to see this thread be an area where everyone can come together and politely and constructively ask/answer questions, talk about construction / processing (manufacturing) issues that may arise and how to deal with it, and anything else we need to talk about. Warning! If your sole purpose is to come in here and wage a "I HATE ANOVOS " campaign you will be asked to leave. Let's begin.
  16. 13a. Kidney Trimming This section was a little tricky. Areas where the cut lines were supposed to be appeared melted or incomplete. Not a huge deal because a good amount of side return edge will be removed anyways. This is one of the sections mentioned earlier regarding material tear, be careful when cutting. Note: The Kidney has a good size curvature on the left side, this is normal (thanks Paul). Also, the 22mm may be completely different in sizes between left and right sides, this is also normal. With my armor I couldn't even see the side cut lines as the excess was covering it. Using a pair of scissors I removed the excess before continuing to trim. Cut lines on the melted side Cuts completed Heavy bend on the left compared to the right side is normal Smaller 22mm notch to be cont...
