Bicep strap & an ANOVOS TK = not happening?
ukswrath replied to DarkTrooper's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Edit typo: You're correct the hook is not a requirement and can be removed however, I installed them on the armor I just recently built was for a 6'1" trooper. I did it because his biceps would fall to his forearms if I didn't. Bottom line sometimes it's a good thing sometimes it isn't. -
TK-50297 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [ATA][556]
ukswrath replied to wingnut65's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi Jeff. Thank you for updating a couple of your pictures for us and thank you for your EIB submission. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor represents all necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to "Expert Infantry" Great job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we would point out areas we feel may need a little work to improve the overall look of your armor. If we had any suggestions it would be to keep the butt plate under the kidney. Other then that you're golden. Beautiful job on your build Jeff, hope to see you at Centurion. -
Hello Richard, Thank you for your patience and EIB submission. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor represents all necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that we'd like to congratulate you on your new "Expert Infantry" Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we point out any areas we feel may need a little work to improve the overall look of your armor. 1) We suggest bring in the shoulder bells even closer to eliminate the bell to chest gap. Removing some of the bell lower return edge and maybe tightening the lower bell strap should remedy this issue. Reference image Centurion suggestions: In this section we try to prepare you for Centurion. Sly, myself or your fellow brothers may suggest areas needing improvement. In this section the only area we suggest you fix would be to replace the Hovi screen mesh, it should be heavier in construction. There are a few build threads illustrating how to replace this if you choose to do so. Reference image Great job Richard

I'm sorry I though we were talking about OT TK movement. Looking like a well oiled tin man isn't a good example non-restrictive movement, sorry
-
lol You're kidding right? Germain can you please show us any OT movie scenes where the TKs are running full sprint like we witnessed in VII, or where they're comfortably sitting around enjoying a cup of tea. My garrison has quite a few very well built Centurions I know cannot sit in a car like I can. I'm flexible, it's the only reason I can pull it off even at my age, not because of how well built my armor is. Do most of these guys look non restricted?
-
haha so much for my reasoning. Back to electronic builds
-
haha welcome to the FISD. If there's some detail to be had someone will find it
-
So does anyone know what the time line Rougue One is? Does it occur between VI and VII? The reason I ask is it would make more sense because the armor is partially OT TK and FO TK falling in line with armor lineage change. My reasoning could be totally out there but worth the argument.
-
Not only that the thigh seems quite short like the FOTK. The snipe knee seems to be sticking out a full 1" and drop boxes are way out side the ammo belt edge YIKE!
-
Yea you think with Disney they would have stepped of the accuracy game a bit but then again maybe the stunt union said "uh none of our stunt guys are going run full speed in that old style armor. Modify it or we walk" lol
-
Looks like the cod may be separate from the ab, not sure but looks similar to the FOTK setup. TD looks similar to the OT TK but connects like the FOTK also.

TK-50216 Requesting ANH_Stunt EIB Status (SDS)[560]
ukswrath replied to Gory's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Gory can we get the blaster "D" ring photo please thank you -
Thanks Bones, if they had a checkered flag emoji I would post it haha
-
No. How it's supposed to work is since at Centurion (only) overlap is not allowed you have to physically split the overlapped sides, equally trimming back on each side (10mm) the approximate width of the leg cover strip (20mm). Butt the two halves together (not overlapped) then connect them with the cover strip. Hence the term "Butt & Strip" connection.
-
Hey Bones, no but if you want to go for it . When you're finished we could post it at the beginning of the tutorial for others to download if they want. Cheers
-
Things to do, remove the cover strips and clean off glue. Your armor is "overlap" type. The overlap is considered a cover strip even at the EIB level.

Disclaimer: I've been asked many times to build battery supply systems and here's my reply. "Most, if not all the batteries I've mentioned are being used in a way they were never intended. Do they work? yes. Is it the best solution, no, but it's something to work with. Point being, though something works doesn't mean it's perfectly safe to use. That said I have no plans on selling anything that I'm not 100% comfortable with. The helmet electronics thread is to inform others of solutions to battery supply issues that plague this hobby. The information discussed is up to interpretation, discussion and and as always, free to use at your own risk. If you lack the electrical knowledge to build a harness system and/or modify existing battery supply equipment I'm sure there's someone here you may be able to commission." Cheers

No worries mate, just wanted to make sure you knew you were in the green. Keep up the good work
