  1. Hey Omar. my fellow GGG brother. Thank you for your patience and EIB submission, let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor represents all necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to "Expert Infantry" Great job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we would point out areas we feel may need a little work to improve the overall look of your armor. Looks like the Nor Cal build crew have been hard at work again with another fantastic set of armor. If we had any suggestions it would be to maybe try moving up the kidney and ab assembly a bit. This will help relieve the stress on the upper back connections also allowing the butt plate to fall beneath the kidney instead of overlapping it. Great Job! Looking forward to trooping together some time.
  2. Hello Dave, Thank you for updating your blaster and thank you for your EIB submission. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor represents all necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to "Expert Infantry" Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we point out any areas we feel may need a little work to improve the overall look of your armor. What we suggest will not effect your EIB status. Though it's not big issue we would suggest bringing in the shoulder bells even closer to reduce the bell to chest gap. The top connection appears to be as close as you can get. You might try removing more if not all the lower return edge to bring it closer to the bicep. I like to to use this reference picture a lot because it illustrates tight fitting armor. Reference pic Centurion suggestions: In this section we try to prepare you for Centurion. Sly, myself or your fellow brothers may suggest areas needing improvement. We have a few areas to discuss, some will be required fixes and others suggested. 1) Shoulder strap covers should lay flat with the back plate. Though not mentioned in the CRL the covers need to follow the curvature of the armor. It appears you do have the required elastic straps so we suggest maybe moving them back further so that the covers lay flat. Reference photo 2) Thermal Detonator panel off set. As mentioned in the CRL the control panel is to face upward, though yours is facing upwards it's also facing your back plate. It should either face straight up or away from the armor. Simply bending the point where the TD meets the clips should solve the issue. Here's a reference pic 3) Forearm return edge. According to the CRL there is to be no lower return edge. For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Reference picture
  3. Thanks Jason. Also, I was looking at all the power supplies Antigravity makes. I'm pretty certain the harness plugs are interchangeable and how they function are similar. That being said the have a 1" thick version of the mini, about 10oz. Almost double the thickness. Same price as the mini also. I might buy it for the heck of it to see if it lasts longer. They have like 5 different models, endless possibilities. I love it. BTW once I do a troop and am satisfied with the new setup I'll probably unload my Anker, with the mini din connectors and cables.
  4. Not complete, not ready to install lol. I looked into that but there's too many waistline sizes to contend with
  5. Uh, the iComm is a voice modulation box designed to alter your voice ever so slightly and add the mic clicks also.
  6. So.. before I go posting any pictures and info, basically a revamp, I want some feedback as to where everyone wants it. Should I post it here following the wiring diagrams or back on page 1 underneath the original post?
  7. Gen 4 wiring schematic. Build pictures incoming Edit: I'll add the wiring schematic document to a google docs or something so the info is clear. Edit: Drop box link - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gynkn09gdk7t3t1/AABOCLxqymrAXbCwCh-F2M_6a?dl=0
  8. Yea I feel the same, but for me the trade off is worth it. I was at a troop 2 weeks ago and the USB drive decided to start having issues and wreaked havoc on my life. Push comes to shove I'll buy another battery to have on hand as a spare, then go back and use a velcro tie strap to secure the harness. I cannot say for certain it will fit in a bucket however, everyone's head is different so you never know.
  9. Exactly Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  10. Take a look at the guy on the left. Just try not to far past the upper ridge of the return edge.
  11. Hey Jim hold tight. A formal announcement on the subject is in the works and I think most will be pleased, until then everyone's patience is appreciated.
  12. Two suspension kits remaining. A Master Builder and virimpact have first shot. You guys let me know if if you want them. $80 shipped
  13. Looks correct yes I use a Novus polish with a 3M buffing pad from a 3M headlight restoration kit and a corded drill. I buff out the entire armor in about 15-20 minutes.
  14. Thanks for the kudos Paul. Like so many others here I enjoy creating. Something I enjoy even more, sharing the info then watching others expand upon it. Good stuff
  15. Eh! it's all just best guess until we see images anyhow.
  16. Bench testing results: In one helmet the battery lasted roughly 5 hours powering four fans and my FOTK audio system, and in another helmet lasting 4.5 hours powering for fans, ROM/FX and a SHA system. Not completely satisfied with the battery life but it is smaller and more portable, not to mention I didn't have to deal with any irritating minimum requirements, just plug and go. I may have to consider having a 2nd on hand for extra long troops. New video -
  17. Strapping very possible yes Signature lol, I think you know who it is intended for Edit: Perfectly timed on my 5000 post
  18. Glad it helped Yea this is nothing new, just could find a tutorial on it. Good to see it's worked for you for so long. Proof is in the pudding they say
  19. " Pretty much what i'm thinking too." Looks like some of us are on the same page , imagine that. ".......That means the backpacks will need to cross in the front. So yea, images would be most helpful."
