TK-17215 Requesting ANH EIB Status (SDS)[582]
ukswrath replied to toniltd's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Toni, Thank you for your EIB application, let's take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have posted. Great build Toni, Thank you for making our job easier Your armor meets all the necessary requirements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'll discuss observations made by Sly and myself that are suggestions to improve the overall final look of your armor. These suggestions will not affect your application. We have nothing to add here except, as you may already know your armor is made of overlap construction which is not allowed at the Centurion level. Unfortunately this is as far as this armor can go without extensive reconstruction. For level three certification (if applicable): Thighs are constructed using the butt joint and cover strip method. Overlap construction is not allowed. You have a beautiful set of armor. We encourage you to get out and have fun if you haven't done so already. Congratulations!!!! -
TK-38991 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status (Anovos)[238]

Hey Ryan, thank you for your Centurion application. Let's take a look shall we. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present. Thank you for making the suggested corrections, making your armor look its best is what Centurion is all about. With that Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion ranks. Great job. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we try to prepare you for Centurion. Sly, myself or your fellow brothers may suggest areas needing improvement. The only are we would still like to see you improve would be to reduce the left side kidney to ab gap. Little to no gap would give the area a nice clean look. Time to do some trooping. -
TK-16924 Requesting HWT EIB Status (ANOVOS)[581]

Hey Brian, thank you for your HWT EIB application, let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required pictures have been posted. Suggested updates and/or pictured have also been updated. Excellent job on your HWT build trooper. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to EI. Well done! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we will discuss observations made by both your fellow troopers and ourselves that are suggestions to improve the overall final look of your armor. These suggestions will not affect any application. Those that do are listed in the above or below sections. Here we only have a couple minor suggestions, on your thighs and shins the cover strips seem to either extend past the end of the armor or onto return edges so we would like to see these trimmed back a bit. References photo Rotate and lift your bicep and forearms a tad. Centurion Suggestions: Although we attempt to spot and suggest things that make passing Centurion easier, the application requires a more detailed set of pics that can reveal things not always seen here. The final product is ultimately the responsibility of the trooper. Congratulations and hope to see you at Centurion -

TK-25415 Requesting ESB EIB Status [ANOVOS][584]

Thanks Shaun -
Well considering at the higher approval levels there's supposed to be little to no gap between the two plates, the elastic appears to be black as expected. lol

Junglie Scout ESB WIP
ukswrath replied to Junglie Scout's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey Andy you look great. For basic you look like your ready to go. If shooting for EIB or Centurion I would suggest tightening up the gap in the shoulder bells, bring the left thigh up a smidgen, level with the right, and for Centurion you'll need to close the gap between the ab and kidney. Hope this helps -

Thank you for your service -
So I just noticed this picture, what's holding the back to kidney together?
-
rotary tool instead of drill?
ukswrath replied to MrSnrub's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Actually you can buy chucks that can handle a variety of bit sizes -
At the moment is ok to have drop boxes at basic, L2 and L3 no drop boxes. Regarding the pauldron the Ebay version is not recommended as it's not very padded, or fluffy as the CRL states. Trooperbay and others make more accurate versions. ----------- Pauldron For 501st approval: A black, orange, or white neck ornament made of leather or a leather-like material, worn over the right shoulder. For level two certification (if applicable): Pauldron is of the padded "puffy" variety. Older style flat and off color pauldrons are incorrect. For level three certification (if applicable): Pauldron color is orange.

Helmet padding options
ukswrath replied to bmth chris's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
You can either install a hard hat liner from Home Depot $9 or similar, or tactical helmet padding seen on Amazon for $20 or something similar -
If you're shooting for Centurion then there should be little to no gap between all the torso sections. That alone will determine how the armor fits against your body.

Be thankful they didn't have HD
