  1. Ab and kidney both look good
  2. With the top edge of the kidney and ab aligned
  3. Yep, maybe round that tiny point a bit under your thumb

    Very cool!
  5. When performing a hot water bath just take your time, distribute the pressure evenly to avoid leaving indents from your hand. There are several tutorials that illustrate how to shim properly. If I understand you correctly, yes you want remove the beveled edge (section at the end of the kidney where it meets the ab). If you don't I'm not sure you'll be able to install a shim correctly.
  6. Hot water bath is the last resort. As Kalani stated remove the return edge as necessary first. That said the heated plastic will cool by itself however, of course running it under cool water accelerates the process.
  7. Hey Sean , Sly or myself will be with your shortly. In the meantime would you be so kind as to post your EIB application link on the details section at the top of the page, thank you
  8. I personally would sand and/or trim the two sides as even a possible. The seam is a requirement, not to mention this is a high flex area so using any bondo/filler would surely crack over time, as will the paint that covers it. If you don't like the sanding idea you can always use plastic welder or ABS paste to build it up then reshape it, or as Christian mentioned, leave it.
  9. Back plate. Return edge is to simulate thickness and is not required in most areas . If you're referring to the upper back that covers your shoulders, there's a section that discusses how to deal with the almost 90 degree bend in the armor. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/page-35#entry472795 Let me know if you need further asistance
  10. Definitely a great idea Russell
  11. I use an exacto knife, dragging it along the edges giving them a fine 45 degree bevel.
  12. The Anovos Shadowtrooper release has been moved back to Q3 > http://forum.501stspecopsdet.net/index.php?/topic/4022-anovos-has-update-tx-delivery-to-q3-now/ Thanks for all the great tips Caleb
  13. Yea but I didn't do any shim work, most impressive my friend.
  14. Hey Dave, welcome to the FISD, glad to have you here. I have one word for the Rubies, RUN! This is not the armor you are looking for. > http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19329-where-what-and-whom-to-avoid-when-buying/ FYI the Anovos Shadowtrooper armor release has been backed up to Q3 so it's going to be a few months, not to mention the first 100+ or so will be going to those of us who pre-ordered months ago. Don't fret though, we have plenty of other armor out there, check out this page >>> http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ Hope this helps some, cheers
  15. Hey Kevin we understand your concern but let's step back a bit and give the guy some time to respond to my question.
  16. Hey Peter, I have a question. I work around CNC machines at my work. Unless programmed to do otherwise they pretty much cut clean lines, straight or curved. Looking at the ingot above, I understand this may be the initial cutting phase but how do you go from clean lines to what almost appears to be hand sculpt lines seen here on the finished TD molds? Not to doubt you but do you have more images of the process in between phases?
  17. Well this info is not really new, undisclosed maybe. [emoji6] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  18. The glue mixes in the tip, after maybe 10 minutes or less it begins to harden in the tip which renders it useless.
