  1. I don't paint or dip, El natural baby lol
  2. It's not more difficult than building the armor itself. You can do it Jeff
  3. The lower shin as Daniel mentioned and another option is to trim the tops of the thighs.
  4. EXCELLENT! Way to go troopers
  5. That's why the CRL states "Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor."
  6. Hi Julian, thank you for your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: Looks like all the required submission photos have been posted and your armor displays all necessary element as set out in the level 2 CRL. Andrew and I would like to welcome you to Exper Infantry, congratulations.. Beautiful job on your build Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have one very minor area to mention. If possible we'd like to see the shoulder bell butted up against the shoulder covers. The gap between the front and back plate are nominal and look really good. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Our only concern at this time is the Ab to Kidney gaps. The CRL states: For level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Reference photos Take care of these two areas and post a photo of your blaster "D" ring then we'll see you at Centurion. Thank you for a nice clean build and application
  7. Hi Matt, welcome and thank you for your EIB application. Let's take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: Looks like all the required submission photos have been posted and your armor displays all necessary element as set out in the level 2 CRL. Andrew and I would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry, congratulations. You are trooper #800. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Beautiful job on your RS armor Matthew and loving the TDK blaster, very nice. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. At this time we don't see anything that would hold yo back from directly applying to L3. Thank you for a nice clean build and application
  8. Hey Matt you you get a moment please post the following information at the top of the page, sorry I missed this earlier. Name: Forum name: TK# Garrison: Thanks again
  9. Spectacular! nice work
  10. Hey Aaron Andrew or myself will be with you shortly. While you're waiting could you post an action shot please. Thank you
  11. Hey Julian Andrew or myself will be with you shortly. While you wait could you add photo of the blaster "D" ring please. Thank you
  12. Hey Matthew Andrew or myself will be with you shortly. At the top of the page could you place a link to your 501st profile please. Thank you
  13. The alpha kits were pre premiere, the beta were shortly after, I had a beta kit. From what I've seen the gaskets were exactly the same. As you mentioned who knows what they're shipping now.
  14. Yep I have either the first or second set of the new style gaskets from SM, love them. You won't be disappointed
  15. Most of the Alpha and Beta Anovos armor owners are very familiar. Hot, sweaty, bulky, restrictive, just to name a few. Mine are roughly 2 years old and have cracks all over. Not sure if they (Anovos) has changed their designs from the originals since nobody has the new suit yet. Most FOTK owners probably have a set of fabric gaskets by now for reasons just the opposite of the rubber. Hope this helps
  16. Are you referring to the rubber?
  17. Hopefully there's are close enough shots to tell if there's been a change.
  18. Hey Richard the connecting brackets? Those you must purchase separately. There should be a link to Mr. Nostripes brackets.
  19. Wish I had more of those special photos that would answer that question
  20. Hey Lionel, welcome thank you for your patience and EIB application. Let's get started CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted and we have great news, your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. We have a few minor suggestions to mention here. Areas to work on to enhance the overall accuracy and look of your armor. Starting at the shoulders and working our way down there should be little gap between them and the chest and back plates. Though the front looks great the back view has a bit more gap. Judging by how much space you have remaining between the bells and biceps a simple strapping adjustment should do the trick. Reference photo Next up arm alignment. The biceps and forearm cover strips should aim forward and back. This could be a simple photo issue. Reference photo Back plate is overlapping your Kidney, it should rest above it. Another simple strapping adjustment should do the trick. Reference photo Ab right side male snap. This snap should be closer to the top corner as seen in the reference photo. Reference photo Posterior is overlapping the kidney. It should reside just below it as seen in the reference photo. Reference photo Next up the Thermal Detonator clips look loose. We couldn't help notice the gap between the clips and tube and wanted to make sure this area was secure preventing a malfunction while trooping. Reference photo Ammo belt left mount is incorrect. The left or inside rivet should be higher up in the corner and the top of the belt lower closer to the lever of the lower thigh return edge as illustrated. This will undoubtly require you to reposition the rivet and fill the hole. That said the accuracy of the armor is ultimately up to you. Reference photo Finally, so we're pretty sure there's a cover strip on your right rear thigh (why wouldn't there be right) but we're having difficulty seeing it. If you choose to shoot for Centurion if you could post a good photo of the area it would be nice. Also the right calf closure is overlapping the inner half where it should not as seen with your left calf. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. From what we can see the only areas holding you back from Centurion are the helmet decals and the waist belt to drop box alignment. Starting with the helmet for Centurion the traps and vents will need to be painted or "Hand painted" looking decals used. For level three certification (if applicable): · Tears/traps shall be hand painted or use decals that emulate hand painted (with correct ANH TK details). Reference photo Next up waist belt to drop box alignment. They should be aligned with the outer most edge of the ammo belt and just below it with little to no gap. In one image one side looks aligned while the other side is out of sorts. This could be a simple photo issue but worth mention. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Reference photo Lastly, left Kidney to Ab gap. The CRL states. Yours is a bit too much and require some adjustments to reduce the gap for Centurion For level three certification (if applicable): · Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Reference photo That's it congratulations on a great build . We hope to see you next year at Centurion.
