  1. It has been said many times before but I'm going to say it again! Great job with the teeth and working with abs paste! You made it look easy!!! Your build is coming along very nicely! I love the grappling hook addition. I will be adding one to my build further down the road! My popcorn has been buttered.... Let the show resume!!
  2. Thanks bud! They were harder then the sniper plate imo. More work to show - Holes are drilled. Once the split rivets dry I will attach the elastic and attach the two halves. Hand painting the rivets supplied by Echo before they are installed. Thank you again Echo, you are the man! I also drilled a hole for the rivet in the lower front and a hole on each side of the knee ammo pack in preparation for its mounting when I think the paint has dried enough on the pop rivets. I'll post those pictures very soon. I am almost there!!
  3. I'd say put the bells to the side right now. Make sure your forearms and biceps fit nice and match as many photo references out there that you can find. Then definitely do your cover strips. Bells can be added and fit after you have your center sections put together. I personally would suggest the shins next as they also are armor pieces that are not necessarily dependent on how an adjacent piece sits. No expert by any means, so I hope this helps. Looking real good in that shiny white though! Oh, nothing wrong with glueing something if you know it's right!! Don't forget a little hole in the side to help with putting the caps on.
  4. The final outcome of the right thigh. Looking at the back. Let me know what you think...
  5. Ok well I haven't seen anything that says I shouldn't just cut off the raised ridge. I honestly think if I keep it the cover strip won't look right. So I'm cutting it off. Let's hope the dark side has shown me the way! Wish me luck lol!!!
  6. Thanks for the link. It is a great build thread! It is one of my top resource threads! But it doesn't help me. I'm trying to reach Centurian level. So I need butt joints with cover strips. This is the only area on the RTMod kit that doesn't have raised ridges on both sides of the armor for the cover strip to a lay on.
  7. Ok so I'm sorta stuck and needing a little advice or expertise from you folks out there. I am finishing up my thighs and am not sure what to do. My RTMod thighs only have the raised ridge(I am calling the raised edge the area that the cover strips are placed.)on one side(looking at the back). I am needing to trim some material off to give it a better shape around my thigh. So do I just start with cutting the whole ridge off and then getting another measurement to cut off the other side and make it fit? Or do I leave it and have one side higher then the other? I am real close to cutting out that whole ridge so the cover strip will have a cleaner lie. But don't want to cut until I hear some input if anyone has any to offer.
  8. I've been working out of town every week lately so this project is slowly moving along. Here are a couple of things I was able to get knocked out. 22mm Before... After...
  9. Not that I think you need it at all, but Good Luck! Your build thread is a great read. I did have to print it and cut out all the fluff so I could use it as another resource thread. Boy was this a busy thread, lol!
  10. I don't have a lot to post at this time. Things are slow going. I messed up the thighs twice. Looks like the third go is a charm... Snap plates are being glued on one by one and I currently have the last snap plate on the back done. Next the front and then the final touches to get it all together and looking good!! Almost there! Final go at the thigh. Had to glue half of it at a time because I didn't have enough magnets.
  11. Did Rob send you a RTMod assembly manual?<br><br> Lmao, just when you think you have seen it all.... I love the White Zone!! <br> (I found the RTMod assembly instructions, honestly didn't know this was out there! Very nice little manual! Thank you!)
  12. Welcome fellow RTMod builder! Can't wait to see your kit come to life!!<br> Rob definitely is easy to work with! I will buy from him again. <br> No matter what the experts decide for that forearm, just remember e6000 is easy to work with and not that bad when you have to deconstruct... Been there I know, lol!
  13. Looking great bud! Nice to see you jumping right into it!
  14. Thanks for the shout out brother! Awesome to finally meet you in person,at the troop, and I am sure we will be hanging out working on our kits together very soon! Great blaster! Now let's order/build display cases and hyperfirms to troop with, lmao!!
  15. I've seen the trooperbay videos they help a lot but haven't seen TK 1636's. I'll have to find those and check them out!
  16. Ok shins are finished and I hope they meet everyone's approval, especially the Centurian officials out there perusing the forums, lol. First time Stormtrooper model, be easy on me folks [emoji6]. Also finished up some of my plates and connecting snaps. And last but not least, I was also able to get my Centurian level gloves and armor plates ready to go. Thank you Karin!! I'm gonna get there!!!
  17. Nice thinking with the hot water bath! I think that would have helped me out as well if I had tried it!
