  1. align at the elbow and trim flush at the wrist. the wrist has no return edge anyway so trimming there is fine. also... here is a little guide to posting pics on the forum.
  2. Does this mean that someone who had originally passed on this kit should go ahead and order one?
  3. Since patches were specifically called out, I can't help but assume this is all about the topic I started letting people know they were in the works. If that was something I wasn't supposed to do, then I apologize. Moderators, feel free to lock or delete that thread. Here is the link. I'll simply post the actual thread when they're ready.
  4. Congrats to you my friend!! Lots of late nights working together to get this costume ready to troop... I'm sorry the blaster tripped you up, I wish I had more advice on the conversion but I've not attempted one yet. If I may throw out a little history... Tommy is the only official member of the Mando Mercs in our area and happened to attend one of our 501st/Rebel Legion events. He made fast friends with lots of us and I think that night decided that he had to become a member of the 501st. The brotherhood and comraderie is like no other, he saw that and wanted to be a part of it. Welcome to the EIB ranks brother! Sent from my ComLink
  5. I guess it's a good sign that we're only discussing the blaster at this point. Must mean the armor is looking fantastic! If we reeeealy want to get nit picky, there are some painting details we could address, but overall this is a great E11 build. Tommy, did you take WIP photos or have a build thread anywhere?
  6. This must have been a recent update or rewording. The CRL I printed off the site last summer didn't specify this, only suggested it. At least that's how I interpreted it. "If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster, it is modified to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total), with a lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side. This is accomplished by covering the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, then grinding off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side, and drilling a new row of holes in its place. " but according to the statement above, he is correct Tommy. We'll need to fix the blaster.
  7. are you mass producing these for sale?
  8. yes, it's a comparable price. also it's happening now and not backordered...
  9. For everyone that ordered the Anovos EpIV TK armor, there's a new boot run happening right now! Don't wait! Get your boots now. Otherwise, you'll get stuck w a shiny new kit and no boots. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31656-tk-boot-run/
  10. All weapons are optional and do not need to be present in your 501st submission photos. The holster however is required per the CRL. As for trooping w a DLT and an E11... I'd do it if I had a DLT.
  11. The best perk so far has been all the awesome people I've met and new friends I've made.
  12. Very cool! Great looking troopers! (and droids and wookie I guess)
  13. check out these shoulders from an approved Centurion build...
  14. Not sure about the corrective eyewear issues. I've seen troopers use sports prescription glasses or affix extra glasses inside the helmet. What I can definitely tell you is that if anyone shorter than 3 feet tall gets closer than 2 feet away from you, you will not be able to see them.
  15. Looks like it's only gone up $100. $450 for the full kit (minus boots and blaster) Revenge of the 5th special!
  16. I've been using Gorilla Gloves from Home Depot (or Lowes, I forget). The handplates stay on better for me and they can breathe. and they're about the same cost.
  17. Although ATA and MTK won't include a finished helmet and accessories. $700 will still be a good deal.
  18. Update: looks like the seller ended the auction.
  19. I'm personally not really upset that they're doing it. I was mostly just surprised that it happened so soon.
  20. I saw it on Instagram and was like whaaaa!?!?!?!
  21. Thanks! she's approved! TI-49051. We're going on her first troop saturday.
  22. ------------- Update: looks like the seller ended the auction. *if this is not appropriate to post, please move or delete as necessary
  23. The suit I was able to assist with didn't use bondo. He used Zap-a-gap with kicker to build up the outer seamlines quickly and we would sand it back down to a smooth uniform surface. He also reinforced the inside seams with strips as we would a regular TK.
  24. The only Anovos armor at C7 was the new TFA TK armor. They didn't have a prototype ANH TK on display. That thickness is on par w other makers (if not a little thicker?)
  25. that was pretty funny
