Hey Lou, when you say you are trying to work out the rear portion on a Bapty kit are you talking about the aluminum cylinder that they revitted on to the back to fill out the length since they were cut down for Tunisia law? Sorry, since I realized yesterday that one of the refrance photos I was using was a Bapty and that my build has become some sort of Bapty/ESB canon love child, I'm suddenly researching that gun a lot more and got a little excited when you mentioned you were working on a kit...

I had the same problem with the IOC website. If you go to the detachment listings on the 501st website on the right of the page (I believe) you will find the detachment's webmaster email. Just shoot him a message and he should get you fixed up in a day or so.

Lewis User Manuals

Thought I would add some closeups of some of the illustrations in case someone wants a quick reference. -
We can only hope to learn from those who are better than us. At this point I've had a broken handle, cocking lever channel, and now scope. Simple repair and move on is my motto now adays (though I have been considering seeing if I can get my user name switched to Train Wreck). Speaking of which, great job on the repair Tim! Nothing a little glue and paint can't fix.

Another DD Resin E-11 Kit
TrainWreck replied to Plasticarmyman88's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Same here. I enjoyed prepainting my magazine/reciever, handle, and scope but now I have to glue them, puty the seems, and mask them before I can spray paint the rest of the gun. Order of operation is important I guess. Your build is looking great by the way! -
Animated Stormtrooper (SW REBELS)

Maybe this is LFL's way of legitimizing all of the licensed armor like rubies. "if we make it look like the bad armor everyone will think it's legit!" -
Sorry if this has been posted here before! Since I have a lot of time before I get to order my armor let alone recive and build it I thought I might try my hand at a T-21 build after I finish my Doopy. While doing some research last night I stumbled upon a website that has several different PDF files of Lewis Lite Machine Gun user manuals. http://www.forgottenweapons.com/light-machine-guns/lewis-light-machine-gun/ I just thought I would share in case someone else was looking for good refrance materials.

Is it just a leaf rake? Could you post a picture or two of it? -
So wait, he is hanging out on costuming forums but couldn't even be bothered to make his own Wario hat?

Lou. I am so sorry man. I've never seen anything quite like this before. Usually it's a day or two in my experience. I come from a weird background where this kind of thing happened to my mom for years so I feel you. Keep truck'n!

Any EIB Deathtroopers yet?
TrainWreck replied to stormtrooperguy's topic in FISD Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) Requirements
The CRL does have guidelines for EIB/C (blue text EIB, red text C): http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_deathtrooper -

You can use EU to join the 501st I'm pretty sure. I have no idea about EIB/C. Is there anything posted on the CRL for it? -

The pipe is right behind me and as soon as I read that Aaron I turned, looked, and saw a big 1 1/4" right at eye level. Yuerp. This is why I shouldn't post things on Monday nights. -

PS Sorry but I have no info on the bolt setup since I'm making my first build look like a cast. I'm sure someone here will chime in. -

LOL. My M38 into an M19 wasn't so much the me being industrious route as it was the "my wife will kill me if I spend that much and a resin cast of a scope" route. You should have seen the look on her face when I told her how much the full doopy kit cost. Are you sure you are printing the template out in the correct size? You need to click the print at 100% not fit to page. I have used the same templates and have had no problem fitting them to 1.5" pipe. Even the pieces that come with the full doopy kit need to be sanded to fit the cast of the barrel. Sand paper is your friend. Great job on the pipe. I can't wait to see your build. -
Nevermind. I hadn't realized he was one of those sellers who adds the photos in the description. That always irritates me for some reason. I thought it was just the one bad photo in the listing.

I'm not disagreeing with you on any of those points. There are a lot of issues with the listing not the least of which is how to vet someone selling merchandise like what he has listed. This appears to be his website: https://natedsanders.com All I'm saying is there seems to be more to this than your average recaster from China. If that more is just a con artist who does his research than so be it. I'm certainly not promoting or recommending this guy. Just for a lark I think I'm going to contact the seller and see if I can get them to add more photos. I've sold a lot of stuff on eBay and if I know anything I know that a serious seller will gladdly submit more photos of a high end item when asked.

So I got bored and looked up the Christie's auction and what do you know. It's legit in the sense that it was sold at a Christie's auction as an unfinished prop made for ANH in 1977 for a bit over $7000. The three previous listings are a Tie helmet, a prototype X-wing helmet, and a production jacket for ESB that was Harrison Ford's. Not saying it's worth what he wants for it, just that on the surface he does not appear to be lying... http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/lot/star-wars-1977-4036538-details.aspx?from=salesummary&pos=151&intObjectID=4036538&sid=ece2ef3d-7571-431c-802e-0e91d7c18d61
