  1. Congratulations sir! As a father of three I can tell you in both the real and sarcastic sense your in for a treat.
  2. Since I've only been working on the grip that is all I have planned out paint wise. I have it in my head that the ESB stuff was always crisper and cleaner which is why I probably won't go with the textured paint and will do all my weathering with dry brushing. I still have time to think about it though.
  3. What's interesting is my wife and I have been having a debate about the timing on the paint layers. I was initially going to to go with the timing your using but she insists that I'm supposed to let each layer set completely before moving on to the next (she is the trained artist in the house). I wonder if the problem with the outer layer pulling up the inner is just with the crincal paint. I guess I'll know soon enough though I haven't decided yet if I'm going with a textured finish or not. It's looking great Tim!
  4. What size are the numbers? The only thing I can think of with rotating numbers like that would be a water meter. Perhaps you might find one at a flea market or something though since they are usually municipal property I don't know if you obtained one if it would be entirely legal...
  5. Tim thanks again for this detailed build thread! I ordered my kit yesterday and will probably use yours as a master thread (while using others as supplements of course). It's been great "watching" you work.
  6. I think with mine craft becoming so popular a lot of the box outfits are going to find thier place at cons. My two youngest girls are really into it. Probably going to have to start judging the boxes on how well they recreate the mine craft pixilation. ;-)
  7. Scooch and Dark CMF, thanks for the info/advice! This thread with a little added research tonight has gone a long way in getting my head wrapped around things. My best to all of you.
  8. Scootch would the same hold true for the RT armor? Have you ever compared your buckets materials with his? Thanks!
  9. Thanks. I was actually thinking the other direction. RT's armor with a different bucket. I'm really just exploring the pros and cons of the various options I have seen so I can come up with a long term financial and build strategy for all of this. All this input has been really helpful guys!
  10. Actually it does. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you.
  11. I'm just a large guy overall (6' 3", 230) and will probably need to go with RT's suit. I had been looking at Cap-W's buckets and was just curious what the effect would be if I mixed and matched. I'm hoping to get to meet some of my local garrison in the next month or so. Thank you for the picture!
  12. Could someone point me at a photo comparison of the size difference between an RT Bucket and a Normal Bucket? I've been searching the forums but haven't come across one. I'm just curious if the size diffrance is really that apparent if one was to mix and match. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can throw at this.
  13. This thread has got me really excited about working on my own blaster soon. Thank you for the very detailed pictures you're posting along with it. Help and inspiration all in one thread! Cheers!
