  1. AAHHHH! So exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Oh. And I was approved today. I am offically TK-11713
  3. All in all... here are a list of my modifications to make this AP armor fit my 5'2'' frame Trimmed a small amount off the bottom of the shins. Removed two or three inches off the top of the thighs while following the curvature of the armor. Add tapered cover strips to the back of my thighs since I have a wider bottom than most men lol Trimmed an inch off the kidney Trimmed two inches (one inch on both sides) length wise from the biceps and still had to overlap them significantly Trimmed an inch and half from the end of the forearm and added foam inserts. Trimmed the hand plates to fit my hands exactly Separated the cod from the abs, removed an inch and put it back together with abs paste and epoxy Add shims to the abs to meet the kidney flush.
  4. Another photo bombed post. I have truely slacked on keeping this up to date. But... here are some progress pictures. and we are not going to talk about how photobucket unedits my cropped pictures when I upload them. So. Sorry in advance for that.
  5. oh my goodness. I have a 16 month old. I am building a kid lid... there may or may not be a finger print on my frown... I get the most work done after bedtime... the dishes can wait lol
  6. I cannot direct you to a build for short people... but I am 5'2'' and was able to get it to fit proportionately. For me, the only modifications I needed were: Trimmed a small amount off the bottom of the shins. Good luck.

  9. Thanks! I do have to admit though, there are ulterior motives here... If I bring 4'5'' Stormtroopers with me... by direct relation, my 5'2'' will look much taller LOL As far as the tube stripes, they are decals. I could have trimmed them down by 20%, but really, they look just fine. I will probably lose 1 or 2 once I close the lid and attache the ears.
  10. I ordered two Walt 80 (80% scale) TK from WTF for my little brothers (age 6 and 8). One will be ANH Stunt like me, and the other will be a Sandy. As I wait for them to arrive, I've started the build on one of the kid lids. Side by side of the Walt80 and Gino v2 Side by side of a completed one that I won. Little ears. Progression Side by side with my completed AP

    Instagram

Instagram is an online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.[7] A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras. Users are also able to record and share short videos lasting for up to 15 seconds.

  14. Saturday 5/17 we participated in the Make-a-Wish Foundation 5k at SIUE.
  15. Hey Jess! Welcome. How tall are you? I am 5'2'' and I went with an AP (Authentic Props) for both my armor and bucket. I also have an ATA helmet, as Mike mentioned, its a fantasic one for the price. I suggest linking up with your Local Legion and learning what type of armor everyone else has. That can give you an idea of quality and soft/hardness of details. Also, pick up a dremel and learn it (if you do not already own one/know how to use it.) Learn how to cut with it... sand with it. That has been my best [tool] investiment thus far. Check out http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ for all the vetted vendors. I cannot wait to see you build a perfect set of shiny white armor and dirt it up

  17. this is awesome! No videos of you guys on the "Travelator" (moving sidewalk) at DIA? lol Thats the best part of that airport haha
  18. A hat! Hahahahahaha I used a full face motorcycle helmet. I considered using a bicycle helmet, but that padding was mostly styrofoam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have two younger brothers, aged 6&7. I just took apart one of their extra helmets LOL I think a youth helmet might look disproportionate to your armor. You look great. I found that the side and top padding was all I needed. Fits snug and still leaves a lot of room for air flow and my hair LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I used the padding from a child sized full face helmet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Great looking trooper you are! and I am glad you had fun! I had the same issue with my cod. I cut an inch off and scooted it up. Fits great now. Also, I added motocycle helmet padding to my lid. I didnt add too much to the top, but a good bulk on the side, around the ears. Covers the screws, and fits snug on my head. I can easily do the Roxbury Europop nod with precision and accuracy lol Ill post pictures when I get home tonight.
  22. Obviously, a little heartbroken that no Jeremy Bulloch was annouced. I am excited about the cast, and vast diversity it brings. Additinaly, I am also interested in who plays a face vs voice, and which side of the force they end up on.
