  1. Here are all the imitation leather parts I cut out to make one holster. Everything is doubled so it has the feel of the nice leather holster in the link I posted earlier. ----------
  2. Thanks, but the link in my post was not my build, although mine does look very much like it. I used the diagram in the link to make my pattern. I will try to post some pictures of my actual build.
  3. I made my own. Super easy to do. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23643-making-a-holster-for-anh-stunt/ I used imitation leather, doubled. Looks very nice and not floppy at all.
  4. When I inquired, they had just received their boots and were filling backorders. I lucked out and got an unclaimed pair!
  5. Question: My first pair of boots got pretty scratched up from the shin armor rubbing against them. I would really rather my new boots not suffer the same fate. Does anyone here have a tip or trick to keep this from happening? A soft edge attached to the inside of the shin around the ankle, or something like that?
  6. True. Aside from the seam on the front and sides, the first pair were also much shorter and my shin armor would constantly creep up on top of the boots. I think I will be much happier with these!
  7. To paraphrase Ben Kenobi (Jedi scum), “I’ve taken the next step into a larger world.†My new pair of boots from tkboots.com arrived yesterday!
  8. Engineer with a worldwide industrial power transmission products manufacturer. I specialize in gearing design and custom mounting solutions.
  9. If you have room inside your thigh armor, you might try putting a little foam behind the knee area to keep the front from gapping open and allowing subduction of the sniper plate.
  10. Funny thing, even with buckets only, they still got mobbed for pictures! Everybody loves stormtroopers! Well, maybe not everybody... Owen and Beru... they may not have a high opinion of us... but they're not talking about it! Am I right?
  11. Once you master the Apprentice S, the Mustang should be no problem for you. Still 4-channel control. It's just a little less stable and a WHOLE LOT faster! Nothing cooler than a close flyby three feet off the deck at 50 mph followed by an aggressive climb and a victory roll! YEAH!
  12. Fantastic choice! Can't go wrong with the Apprentice S!
  13. I enjoy backyard astronomy. I have a 6" reflector on a Dob mount for the occasion. I have seen sunspots (through indirect/projection viewing), Mercury, Venus, our Moon (I can identify many surface features especially near the terminator and have a filter for viewing the full Moon), Mars (I can resolve the polar ice caps and surface shading), Jupiter (I have observed the GRS, GWS, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto and several smaller moons, lunar transits, etc.), Saturn (I can resolve the gaps between the rings, planetary bands, Titan and several smaller moons), Uranus, Neptune, several comets, deep space objects like clusters, nebulae, galaxies and binary stars, and I have even caught the ISS briefly! I also enjoy model aviation. I have a Spektrum DX7s transmitter and about five different models I fly. Among those is a Multiplex FunCub, a Parkzone P-51D Mustang, a Parkzone Radian, a micro Mustang, and a Blade 180QX quadcopter with a camera. All are fun to fly, but my biggest thrill is thermal soaring with my Radian. I have been able to keep it aloft for over 45 minutes with only a 30 second motor run to about 600 feet! I caught several thermals during that run to climb to a maximum altitude of over 1,400 feet without the assistance of a motor! By the way, a 2 meter plane is just a speck at that altitude. I do enjoy shooting sports as well. I have a Sig Sauer 522LR, a Smith & Wesson model 457 (.45 ACP compact), and several other weapons. I qualified Expert in the Army and aced my CWP as well!
  14. Stormtrooper from Ninety Six, SC USA. Yep, a town with a number for a name!
  15. Happy Super Bowl Weekend! http://www.nerdist.com/2015/01/the-nfl-would-be-way-better-if-all-the-teams-were-star-wars-related/
  16. Now if I could only get the armor to stop biting me...
  17. Fantastic! I see you have also taken a Jedi prisoner. The Emperor will be pleased.
  18. Going to end 2014 in style. Just got a request for an appearance at a New Year's Eve lock-in for kids and teens. It will be Vader, two troopers, and the Death Star countdown (to midnight) from Episode IV. "The New Year will be in range in 30 minutes... LOL!
  19. More propaganda... er, pictures... This one is me... Let's face it, anything you do looks cooler when you're dressed as a stormtrooper!
  20. Here's a close-up version of the picture...
  21. 2014 Ninety Six, SC USA Christmas Parade This was my second unofficial troop. It was cold and raining, but that didn't dampen the Holiday spirits! Our small town parade has never had a Star Wars themed entry, and the crowd could not have been more pleased to see us. I was pleasantly surprised to see that even small children as young as 6-8 were able to instantly recognize characters from a movie made 37 years ago. Most gratifying was the look on all the adult faces. It was like they were 12 years old again and watching the Tantive IV being boarded for the first time. Awesome trooping experience! Now, if I can just get my 501st application submitted... (I am the trooper on the left in the picture below.)
  22. BCG is good, Starter brand at Walmart is good, too. About the same price for either.
