Good stuff. You can order the bucket & armor & ask them to ship the bucket first as they generally have those in stock. Last I saw the armor had about an 8 month wait list. That way you have something to work on in the meantime. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

How did you do building first time?
Rigel replied to civitanom's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Keep an eye out on your garrison forum for build parties. It will be worth a two hour drive to get a bit more confident in building. -
ATA Armor Build_My First TK
Rigel replied to russellr2d2's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
If this is you first time building I would strictly use E6000 glue as it is very forgiving but very strong. -
LOL. Are you being sarcastic? Seriously, I'm wanting deeper/more detailed traps and a bit larger. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I currently have an ATA bucket for my TK and I love it but there are a couple of down sides. It is a bit on the small side and it is a very soft pull. I am looking for a bucket that has sharper details and closer to actual full size. Any suggestions?

You'll love your NE kit when it's complete (that's what I have). The forearms are a pain but nothing insurmountable. Now the NE bucket, that's another story.

Sounds like a different gauge plastic was used.

Thank you so much!

I have asked before but did not get a response. I am wanting to change my user/forum name so it matches my 501st and Midsouth name, Rigel. How can I get this done? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

E6000: 29.7mL or 9mL for an armor?

I bought two large tubes just to be on the safe side. Gave what remained to the workshop along with a bunch of clamps, sandpaper, webbing & elastic. Helping future TKs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Undersuits - BCG from Academy, anyone use?
Rigel replied to JoblessPunk's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I have the BCG compression gear in both summer and winter weights. Price is great and they seem to be holding up well. TK2311, I always advise our local guys to go with a size smaller than you think you need to get that skin tight fit. We are fortunate here in Nashville to have a couple Academy Sports locally. After trimming I used a Dremel to get the really rough stuff off then finished with 200 grit sandpaper by hand until the edges were smooth. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hyperfirm blasters use some type of rubber and they are awesome. Good detail and you don't have to worry about clocking a younglings in the head with it. Very lightweight. A Hyperfirm E11 is on my list of must get for my TK as my resin is SO heavy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I agree with everyone. Dance gear is the way to go for younglings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I am 5'5". I have the NE kit and had to trim lots off of the shins & thighs. All my height is in my torso so didn't really need to make too many adjustments there.

Needing a new Bucket. Suggestions?
Rigel replied to TK4471's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I have the same problem Mark. I am getting ready to put together a chin strap to force the bucket to stay in place. -
I trimmed my ATA pretty far up towards the mic tips. I just glued the S trim or I could show you some better detail of where I cut. I still have to turn sideways to get it on but it is a lot easier to get on & off without scraping screws. I covered the cut screws with a little foam padding too. Next up, a chin strap as I keep knocking the bottom of the helmet against my shoulders & upper body of my armor and helmet shifts a lot so I have real problems seeing even with all the padding. Gonna force it to stay in place. The problem of having a short neck.

I have snap & strap in my NE armor and love it. Didn't use elastic straps but used 1" black nylon strapping. Works great.
