Has anyone tried JB Weld ClearWeld epoxy on ABS? (PSi of 4400/3200) The fact that it dries clear is appealing... (Canadiantire.ca)

As expected, Anovos responded right away and will arrange for a replacement helmet.
-
I've used spray wax on the helmet and it shines up quite nicely. It doesn't come out super glossy, but it does make it shiny enough. I'm not sure I'd re-paint it.

Despite the defects in my helmet, I would buy it all over again in a heart beat. I LOVE this helmet and armour. Given the tight deadline for Celebration, issues can be expected in a few. This is true with buying any product; I've had defective products before. I am sure we all have. What makes the difference for me is how the company responds and deals with the issues. It wasn't my intention to cause doubt & nervousness in the kit or Anovos.

Like Paul’s, my helmet is suffering from some similar issues. Thankfully it has not fallen apart. (I am posting the pictures in case it helps others to identity issues with their helmets.) I contacted Anovos yesterday regarding the issues. I am sure they will take care of me. J The sides of the helmet, near the eye have pulled away and are flaring out. There are large enough gaps to fit something in them. -- The front panel does not sit flush on the right side, near the lenses and is starting to lift up. There is also a divot near the area. (I guess from strain of being mounted incorrectly?) You can see the gap in the pic below. (Also a different angle for the side flare.) -- You can also see that the left side on the front panel is fine, as it sits flush near the lens, there is no overlap. You can see the right side flare from a different angle --- The bottom rim, near the back is cracking in two places. ------

Good question! I was thinking the same thing.

Wow! Good for you; excellent job so far! I am not sure I could have done this as my first build...I had many moments of panic with my TK. LOL
-
I can imagine a first-time builder would lose their mind. lol I am nervous, anxious, and a little scared...but mostly excited to do this!
-
Thanks for posting your build Jeroen! The more threads, the more information to help me get started.

Indeed! (This is going to be a lot of work.... lol)

Wonderful pictures! Thank you so much for letting me view them. The forearm makes sense now.

Good to know!

Thanks so much for posting your build! Looking forward to seeing more! Do you happen to have any pics showing the forearm construction? I assume it's not as easy as slapping 2 sections together.... lol
-
Clint; I am extremely eager for your build thread. (As I am sure others are as well!) It will be an invaluable resource/reference for the many TFA builds to come. So excited to start mine!

"Barcode" is due to the barcode I have tattooed on the back of my neck.

TK-16180 requesting ANH Stunt Centurion status[RS*][111]
Barcoder replied to Squeaky's topic in Request Centurion Status
Congratulations!!! Outstanding job! Good to see another Canadian Centurion. -
So, a little bit of an update.... I have started, slowly BTW, to customize the inside of my helmet. I bought a motorcycle helmet liner that works quite well. (Still need to add additional padding to the sides...) Eventually I will be installing some fans... Here is what I have done so far.... I found some sump pump tubing that is the perfect size for inside the helmet.
