  1. Yes I did, but just to take off the uppermost layer, I did not get all the way down to the raw leather though.. Any way, I will see how it holds up, once I start wearing them for trooping ( damn I can't to get my armour. My boots are finished, I am bulding my blaster, I have the undersuit and balaclava, the rest of the soft parts come with my armour..and then ofcourse I ave to apply, and get okayed first....). I think te elasticity is intact, however a little less than before...
  2. Finished the magazine, and also the bolt (the handle off one of the boys play rakes), cockinghandle (attached a screw so that it screws down into the bolt) and spring, which I made from a wire coathanger, wrapped around a metal rod, from my closet, that I normally put my coathangers on). Additionally I ground the Hengstler counter, and will cut out areas to put in my number (when I eventually get one) make the counter reset button, and window as well... Now it is glueing time...
  3. Thanks, and roger!..luckily that is easily fixable......
  4. Thnx, hoping it all turns out fine..., and yup loads of research.
  5. Congrats on the new boots. But a pair of boots that are too tight, sounds like a challenge when trooping...No need to remove the pullstrap, as the original boots had one as well. The Broginis are fine for EIB and CEN, they just need a light scuffing
  6. Drilled out the remaining ventholes. Fixed the powercylinders .Drilled out the front sight and made the pin from a drillbit. Tomorrow I will begin assembling, and do the last part of the grinding, sanding etc.
  7. Continued... The Hengstler counter has gotten brass screws As well as the scope They are all screwed in, and not glued in..to me it looks a lot nicer😊
  8. Thanks! It s really not that difficult to do, so I would say go for it, I think it s a quite nifty feature:-)
  9. Started my build today....great way to spend time. I have looked at a lot of other builds, many of them extremely well made. I bought my Doopydoos kit a while ago, along with some other ones ( Hasbro conversion and DL-44 Greedo Killer). I want to pimp my build, like I have seen others do, but I do not plan on buying a real Scope or Hengstler...at least not with this build. Everything has been trimmed/sanded/ground. Real M6 screws at the muzzle and at the pistolgrip Ground out part of the butt. And the holes in the folding stock I have made dowels out of cutoff toothpicks, to make it more sturdy. I plan on attaching everything with dowels, superglue and/or epoxyglue Made the folding stock semi functional, and more sturdy by inserting screws ( the heads will be filled with putty ofcourse). The rear sight has had the serrated part enhanced with a nail file, and the hole has been drilled out Working trigger, made with a small nail/pin, and the spring from a ballpen.. Working fire selection lever, made with a miniture bolt and nut
  10. Looking fantastic!....:-)
  11. Hahahaha....great humor.....and shooting in general is great fun!.....:-)...
  12. Ser bra ut David!. Looking real good! I started working on my Doopydoos kit yesterday. It does unfortunately not come with a bolt, but I intend to make a similar system as yours with the bolt and cocking handle.... I have seen so many pimps of those resin kits, I am thrilled to continue working on mine..:-).
  13. I have not tried it, but it says on the bottle that it can be sprayed on......whether it is good or not, I don't know...:-)
  14. They look fine!...good luck on the painting:-)
  15. Yup, do that, but put on some compeed bandaid......or follow one of the suggestions I gave you...
  16. I am using an Ipad, so the interface is not the same, hence no picture button
  17. Thanks mate:-)....I cracks a bit when you put them on, but it does not come off, its flexible. Yeah saw them, and they are awesome.... You could continue to walk them until they fit, where exactly does it hurt?.and how much is it?...you can soak the left in water and walk around in it, or put in a shoe tree in it, or lastly see a real cobbler who can expand it for you...
  18. Faaaantastic boots!....good luck on the paint job!....Have you tried them on? I think wearing them for a while before starting the painting would be wise:-).....
  19. The end result Pretty happy with it, but will paint another pair, and maybe do it differently.......
