  1. Um, yeah, that's my bad. My rubber supplier only had a little left on the roll and can't get any in for a couple of weeks so thats how it ended up. I'll get it replaced when he gets more in.
  2. I've seen plenty of TK's nocked back for Legion approval for having chunky soled work type boots like those Docs. Maybe it would be better to get approved before worrying too much about sole colour.
  3. I don't think it too bad. I paid about $100 for an M40 recently. There was an M19 that went for $374 yesterday...
  4. My wife's ESB is about a week away
  5. Great looking build Kev. Should be EIB in no time
  6. In both the CRL and EIB requirements, if a holster is to be worn , it should be on the right side, connected to the belt with 2 rivets. I suppose that means if you want to holster you're E-11, then cross draw it is.
  7. Prolly want a couple of sets now thanks Mike.
  8. Australian Federal gun laws are also very restrictive, however it seems to vary from State to State. The possesion of any replica which is deemed to be a threat by any citizen is illegal. When in costume we have a certain amount of leniency given, but if the replica is waived or pointed in a threatening manner, then we would be arrested and prosecuted. We can apply for licences to import and posses these items, but they are never supposed to leave the home.
  9. Would have put them up sooner, but I've been out all day. Pics of my RT with Mikes ESB decals... As mentioned, the rear traps are the concern. The rest fit fine.
  10. Thanks Steve. After digging a loooong way back I found a post claiming that enamels work better on this plastic. So I have tried this. I've used this paint before but it takes forever to dry And what the helmet looks like now... just hope I can get some to chip off.
  11. I recently bought a TE HDPE bucket and would really appreciate some advice on how to get the paint to stick, and get a smooth finish. The offending item... I have cans of Krylon Gloss White (Fusion variety not available in Oz), and Rustoleum "Universal" Gloss White (supposedly sticks to anything). My first attempt with Krylon appeared thin and watery, and bubbled in some areas so I wiped it off. The Rustoleum was marginally better, but bubbled in the same areas! I have just scraped all of it off after it became touch dry. Will sanding the plastic give the paint a better grip? I still want some of the paint to peel/chip off in certain areas to give the weathered look. This is what I hope to replicate.
  12. Well you know I want a set thanks Mike
  13. Geez Greg, in TE2 you'll be the best dressed TK in Sydney!
  14. If we go by Chazz's screen caps, we'll have a det dangling off the back. Thats going to be uncomfortable with a field pack
  15. Apologies, I had MR CE stuck in my head for some reason
  16. Hi James, This site shows how to make and use your own magic ABS whitener. The efx can be modded to meet EI standards. That's all I want to say about that.
  17. It's hard to use score'n'snap on some parts like the lower legs, due to the curvature. Having put about 4 of these kits together, I've found the best way is draw your line, cut with tin snips as best you can along the line, and then sand with 80 grit on the orbital. Your going to cover it with bondo or whatever to go seamless any way.

    Weather?

2 weeks ago - 120 deg F. Lately, better at 86. Fires in the South, floods in the North and West. Wouldn't live anywhere else but Oz.
  19. I have both. TE2 for the TD, AP for my TK. I believe the TE2 to be a much better suit. It is really easy to put together and the AP takes a bit of work to get certain pieces to align properly. I have put 3 OSCS clones together and would say I'd rather assemble one of those than another AP. The TE2 also fits much better overall, and didn't need to be shimmed on the sides, or anywhere else for that matter. ----------
  20. Nope, no good. Way too many tube stripes on that bucket. Start again HaHa Lookin' real good there man.
