  1. Thanks my friends! And Daniel....you can hold it for 5 seconds
  2. Thanks Sergiu!!! But you have to help me out:-) what do you mean with "real demilled Sterling conversion"? this is a real demilled sterling conversion...or i'm stumped?
  3. Thanks my friends!! This one is just for sunday troops:) The bapty is my trooping blaster....and the DLT for every second sunday
  4. I think this is my first own thread on the fisd...ok....i'm dirty and i love the Bapty version of the E11 (i already built 2 of them). ...but i think this is a really nice blaster, too:-) This is an original sterling with an original scope and an original hengstler. I didn't painted the sterling because i love the original taste of the colors. I just painted the scope rail (real steal), the central fuses and the hengstler (a little bit). I think i touched the selfpainted colors with the original near 90%. Here are the build and the results..... After the hint of my friends, i painted the hengstler counter...of course in the same style as the blaster is. so long....move along....
  5. You are totally right with the boots Vern. But if Michael likes to post some pics of his boot painting..why not? We have a lot of doopy builds and we all know how to build a doopy blaster, right? Cheers..
  6. Wow!!! Glue for 30 and aluminium bar for 25!!!!!! Where do you live? Far far away from civilization??? And all costs without a real hengstler...BUT: great result!
  7. Here is a short "project" update (it's not a real project because a stormtrooper never ends;-) ) The two packages arrived. One of them was totally damaged but i built a great shield:-) so the armor didn't broken. Unfortunately she isn't able to dress up because the warm weather in the last weeks aggravate her MS:-( But she said that she and her husband anger their dog with buckets on....so we all hope that we'll get some shots of that i give a new report when we have some pics! so long...move along....
  8. The package arrived yesterday!!!! I really hope she is strong enough to wear the armor this weekend....the hot weather is a problem for her. sometimes she had no feelings in her arms, or she becomes blind on one of her eyes. We hope the best for her first appearance!! (i'm a little bit nervous...:-) ) @Dean: OpiWan is #86079 I'm #20047 so long....move along...
  9. Thanks to all!! Yes this is the spirit of the 501st....help other people and make wishes and dreams become true And of course building armor, weapons...our imperial universe. So long....move along!
  10. Hey all, OpiWan and myself like to introduce our project. But before we start with the picture story we like to write something about the history… I found a TK sale thread in the external german garrison forum. The person wrote something about that she/he can’t complete the build of the kit. She/he started 2010 but just finished some trimmings. It sound curious so i wrote a pm and asked why she/he selling the kit (it was a PT kit). After a couple of days i got the replay: she is girl from vienna and a big star wars fan. Her marriage was supported by 2 imperial guards and her big dream was and is to have a Stormtrooper. But she became ill…her doc diagnosed Multiple sclerosis (for more information look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sclerosis). From time to time she got the typical symptomse and she wasn’t able to finish (or even to start) the armor. So she terminated her dream and tried to sold her kit. For OpiWan and myself it was clear that no desease has the power to stop dreams! We offered her to build her armor in that way that she can wear it and become part of the 501st. After some pm’s she agreed and sent the kit from vienna to frankfurt. We also needed her measurements because the distance for the fitting is a little bit too farJ (round about 720km or 447 miles). That’s the whole story and a great experiance for all…but now some pictures The package arrived (also a brown box;-) ) Really nice: two buckets for two versions:-) the bucket is finished...tried to build and paint accurate now the torso and here in the tantative style both buckets...one ANH the other ESB Why ESB too???? We also have two handguard versions:-) ...sadly without rubber cloves My wife did the belt Some strapping pics and for different sizes My first dropbox build:-) (i'm one of the dirty ones) The last pic before shipping... And now back into the real brown box...that brings back memories when this box arrived to me... THE IMPERIAL POST OFFICE WANTS YOU! Now, we all waiting for some pics of a happy girl in her dream....(pics follow) so long....move along
  11. Really nice armor Keith!!! Just one thing: it looks like that the thermal detonator is too high. It has to cover the belt. Keep on troopin' Cheers
  12. Very nice Jason! it looks like that you closed the ab with the kidney with more than 3 rivets on both sides, right? and on the first pic it looks like, that you close the two parts also with split rivets.... it's totaly ok for the 501st approval but if you like to make an upgrade to centurion status you have to change it;-)
  13. I'll try to use a forstner drill bit. just an example ----------
  14. In germany it's RAL 7034...for me the best matched green. The color code is #939176 Cheers, Felix
  16. Have a look in ongoing sales....there you'll find evilboy
  17. Hey Dennis, nice start up!! good luck on your way my trooping friend...
  18. i have to show this wonderful armor my little son!!! Excellent work Paul!
