Today i will start the research to find the right perhaps a special weapon/gun color..... EDIT: haha...found two colors for weapon coating: Cerakote and Duracoat. Both 2-k colors and both toooooooooooo expensive! 60-80$ for ONE spray can..... So i think i will use "normal" 2-K varnish. It seems to be that a good black color tone is RAL 9021

Hi, sometimes we make some crazy things:-) build armors out of plastic, look at references to make the best molds ever or build our own blaster from scratch. I think that's really crazy. BUT WE LOVE IT!!! This time i decide to refurbish my M38 scope. The condition was not really bad but i liked to make a scope for a "black" E11 blaster. That's crazy too because i'm a boy out of the sand and i love weathered things...Oh yes, i can hear some guys out of my speaker: WHAT DID YOU MAKE???? The original color..and so on and so on. Yes, i did it: And here are some pics...i hope you enjoy it:-) The beginning You know the movie The Blob?? I said the condition is good... First results (looks like a picture out of an british antique magazine:-) And here the whole parts of an complete M38 scope So that's it. Now the scope is in a paint removing bath. The screws are in an other bath, like C3PO on Tatooine...you know the picture!

Wow, nice inner barrel....and thats all;)...no, the box is nice too! Sent it back and order a doopy kit! It's much more fun to build your own blaster out of a kit then to buy a ready one and the doopy is one of the best reproduction of a sterling.....

Hi Andreas, Du musst Dich im detachment erst anmelden, um dort etwas lesen zu können. Du brauchst kein 501st Mitglied zu sein. Was stellst Du Dir denn bei der Kühlung vor?? Das einzig Sinnvolle und Umsetzbare ist eine Helm"Kühlung". Es handelt sich hierbei nicht um eine echte Kühlung, da nur Ventilatoren eingebaut werden, die ggf. für Frischluftzufuhr sorgen. Die KLeidung als solche kann man nicht kühlen...wie soll das auch gehen?!? Falls Du Dich aber irgendwann für einen Vader in der 501st entscheiden solltest, dann wirst Du aber folgendes feststellen: der akkurate Lederanzug ist "kühl". Das liegt am Leder, welches ja die Eigenschaft hat zu atmen. Ich gehe davon aus, dass der Rubies-Strampler aus Polyestergewebe ist, welches nicht atmet und auch keinen Schweiß aufnimmt. Ne Plastiktüte eben, unter der Du einfach schwitzt. Aber wer hat gesagt, dass Helloween Spaß ist;-) Bzgl. Deines TKs kommt es bei der Bewegungsfreiheit darauf an, aus welchem Material er ist und wie die Rüstungsteile an Dir sitzen. Bilder wären also schonmal gut;-) Was das Anziehen der Schuhe angeht ist meine empfohlene Anziehreihenfolge folgende: 0. auf Toilette gehen 1. schwarzer Unteranzug 2. beide Oberschenkel 3. Schuhe 4. Waden spätestens jetzt solltest Du Dein Neckseal anziehen;-) UND sämtliche anderen Teile auf Tischhöhe zurecht legen 5. je nach Strapping kommt jetzt der Oberkörperpanzer 6. Gürtel/Holster 7. Arme 8. Handschuhe 9. Helm Und genau in dieser Reihenfolge wieder ausziehen. Einige benötigen bei der Schulter-/Armbefestigung Hilfe. Aber auch hier hängt das von der Art des Rüstungsmaterials ab. Meine erste war aus hips und nicht wirklich geschmeidig. Meine jetzige ist aus 1,5mm abs und ich kann alles alleine an- und ausziehen. Nun zum troopen:-) Bequem ist es auf der Couch! Hinsetzen kannst Du Dich mit einer Rüstung nicht. Treppen steigen sieht auch nicht gerade grazil aus. Du solltest aber Dich normal bewegen können, ohne das alles knirscht und zwickt. Falls das doch der Fall ist, musst Du Deine Teile anpassen. Rennen geht auch nicht:-) Und der Toilettengang.... tja, wer sich vor dem Einsatz literweise Kaffee reinschüttet hat eben Pech...siehe Punkt 0. Wenn es aber dringend ist musst Du zumindest Deine Arme und Dein Oberkörperpanzer ausziehen.... Ich wünsche Dir viel Spaß auf Deiner Helloween Party!

And now the Bapty vs. Sterling comperison. Have fun!

Hi there, i like to start these topic in this category because the Bapty is for me the one and only real Sandtrooper blaster. I built two different variants and i decided to make a little comperison between both of them. The comparison refers to some details out of the reference pictures i had. The references for my 2.0 model were much more better then for the 1.0. So i think that the second bapty is near the mark of an original Sterling. And of course the 1.0 variant was my first blaster build ever;-) The basis for the blasters was the doopydoo-kit and 2 original Hengstler counters. For the 1.0 version i used an aluminium scope rail, for the secound the more accurate steal variant. What do you need for the build? (sorry but i didn't know some technical terms so i had to find out the best translation) - Dremel with a burr-/grinding attachment - steel file - green stuff - socked head screws (M5 in the metric system;-) ) - pipe of plastic to fill the barrel - acrylic (no silicon!!) sealing compound to fill the straining slot - and some small parts such as screws, splits, colors, nerves and references. Now the pics without further comments I know that both blasters are not perfect...but i love them:-)

Alright, my "sterling interpretations" are finished. the first sequenz is my Bapty 2.0 (both Bapties are doopydoos kits. just the counters are original) Now it's finished!!!! ...and some family shots Bapty 1.0 meets 2.0 (bapty 1.0 was my first blaster build) now, mother is coming so long....move along felice
