  1. Steffen, hide that, der Polizei kommt!
  2. The post office will not file a claim from the receiver as far as I am aware. It is up to the sender to do this. Because the item itns't yours until you actually get it. It is up to the sender to handle any tracking and claims. At least this is what I have been told in the past.
  3. It is a bit big, but as I have seen said several times if it's required due to the size of your legs, it is acceptable. The biggest thing is the proportions. You have done the ridges well so the coverstrip is right on the edge and as long as both sides mimic that, you should have no problem.
  4. It's exactly like reality though, the armorer is never a knight. Being an armorer is a full time job, there is no room to make the armor and wear it!
  5. Well Paul, The hobby is made better because of your attention to detail and skill at crafting the pieces and creating the true stormtrooper... for old and young!
  6. All the pictures I had seen had never differentiated between Left and Right, and only ever showed a single arm at a time. so I assumed that the strap was on the bottom. Your second link shows a picture of an original armo and there is clearly a R printed on it (dated April 11, 2017) that as the strap on the top, so I was incorrect and you are 100% right, the strap looks to be to the top of center vs the bottom, well done! I think I will leave mine on the bottom for the time being, I like the idea of any strap being hidden by my folded arm vs popping out at the top and fully visible when folded. Well, not so bad, it's just the edge will be visible really.
  7. Oooo! What were you doing in this neck of the woods for 8 months?
  8. It's all about proportions.
  9. Well, I get it. The gun stays the same, but it it bigger in relation to the person carrying it. A cane held by a normal sized person looks like a cane. A cane held by a dwarf looks huge. So an E11 held by a person who is 5'11" 200lbs they look bigger then the blaster, a 5' 90 lb'er it looks like a BFG.
  10. That must be why he thought his XL shins were important! One question for you Paul. You build, super accurate, massive attention to detail because you obviously love your craft, but you don't troop? What got you into crafting armor then?
  11. Great job, and yes, very heavy duty! Holy cow, your armor will not unsnap on accident for sure! One thing I noticed was that the bicep/forearm strapping is towards the top of center, I think it is supposed to be towards the bottom of center, this helps hide it from view where as when you have it on the top of becomes more noticeable. At least that is how I have interpreted it. GJ on the build, almost done!
  12. Who ever is on the right of the actress (our left as we watch) needs to bring in the top of his shoulder bells, they are way to far out. He might also look into moving the location of his snap forward so the bells don't pull back so much, it's a black hole up there.
  13. Nice job! And it all paid off in the end, mission complete. How do you like the finished suit? Any modification upcoming or are happy with the current molds? The suit is amazing well done.
  14. If you plan on going centurion, the 3 visible side snaps on the ab/kidney actually have to be split rivets. They don't have to be functional, but the visible on the outside and the inside have to be 3 split rivets. Near them, you can glue a snap plate to have a snap system if you want. Other then that, the build looks pretty good! Well done!
  15. +1 vote for PAul. He is likely super swamped and out on the troop with the armor for his kid, most likely he is sorting through about 50 PM's and trying to get everything done at the same time. Give him a bit longer, he will surely get at you in due time.
  16. Do a search and find Pandatroopers templates. I used these for the tubes and it was great, it is super easy to make your own templates out of painters tape or some say electrical tape. Sorry to not answer the question though.
  17. Oh man, hope you have enough clamps and magnets! Getting everything drying at the same time is the only thing that would slow you down!
  18. Shipping day is coming soon Jenny! I have the paperwork and will drop the box off on Friday. 2 Day shipping, so you should have it on Monday! I put your address on email notification, so you will get the email when it ships and when it arrives. Maybe the hubby gets it when you're not there, and tries to hide it, you will know the truth since you'll have the delivery confirmation. I've made up your holster as well, it's sitting on my desk. once I arrive in DC at 8pm today (Wednesday) I'll drop it in the box and seal it up. Ready to go!
  19. For anyone in Germany, I got a great link from a FISD Germany member. --------
  20. for a budget, go with an ATA ABS kit I think the kit is sub $400 with no helmet, helmet is an extra $125, or so, so very affordable (hence ATA, Affordable Trooper Armor).
  21. Not really made for smaller people. TM, ATA, CFO (for ROTJ armors) are all normal sized and can be easy to trim to fit the size. We recently say a female trooper who did a luke 'hero' suit, it lets you make a shorter build and it's still canon, since luke was a short guy. Otherwise, just to a stunt and I'm sure you can trim it to spec easily. Only problem is most of the guys have waiting lists for new orders, so you'd have to hope for a fully made kit, or an untrimmed one, they pop up sometimes as untrimmed.
  22. We just got a baumarkt here in town, but they only have the big clear ones with little wheels on the bottom... not sure if they are the same as bauhaus. It's by the parent company Globus. Thanks for the suitcase ideas. I"m not sure they would work unless I disassemble the suit brackets. for air travel I will for sure disassemble and get a hard case, but I'm also looking for a driving case where I don't have to disassemble and can buy locally, or on ebay.de/uk
  23. Check inside the Thermal Detonator. My first kit was a FX and the vendor had put my chin inside there.
  24. So, I'm in Germany.... I'm looking for what I can use to store my TM suit in. The Stanley isn't really an option since I"m in Europe and getting it over here isn't so easily done. I use brackets on my torso and don't want to have to disassemble them each time I box it. I put the arms all together, and put them inside the shins with the bell on the outside, then put the whole unit inside the thigh. Then I put both thigh packages in the middle of my torso and lightly wrap the belt around it, so it's a very compact package. I'm sure this is how most people do it with the brackets. So I am looking for what people use here in europe to travel locally with their kit when packing it together like I have described. I would like to be able to fit my boots, helmet, blaster and other things in there as well. Wheels and a handle would be nice! Also a secure lid with clips or some sort of sealing mechanism. So, any tips? Thanks! Derrek
