  1. I've decided to go with TM's 1.5 mm. Thanks for everyone's input.
  2. How much pull force should the magnets have, minimum?
  3. Just trying to think outside of the box. I've noticed that depending on how many magnets you have, you would be limited to how many pieces you could glue at once. Like I said, just a thought....I'm a noob.
  4. Any good place to buy them? Just a thought....to save on the amount of magnets used on each piece of armor, would it be feasible to put some sort of strip of metal opposite to magnets for them to pull on instead of magnet to magnet?
  5. You're welcome! Whatever you're serving.
  6. Just wanting to get a smile out of you.
  7. Is there a certain rating (strength) that is recommended if these magnets are used?
  8. I thought the 501st assigned TK #'s. I didn't know you selected your own. On a side note, is TK-421 "retired" and unassigned as an honorary #?
  9. Thanks for the clarification. That shows how well of a job you did with it for me to have to ask.
  10. I love the trooper relaxing at home pic! Nice build! I can't wait to get my TM armor. What's wrong with the blaster? (Newb question)
  11. I love mine. I wear a size 10 shoe. My boots are a slight bit longer, but just a little bit. They are still very comfortable. My feet are a little wide, so I need a little stretching on my right foot (a tad bit snug), but they are very nice. boots.
  12. VOX is voice activated if I'm correct. Just wondering if there was a way to kill VOX when not wanting to be heard and then turn it back on when you wanted to go "live". Maybe a button or switch inside the side of the ab or chest plate or maybe rig one of the ab buttons?
  13. I'm in. Like most, to join the Empire as a stormtrooper has been a lifelong dream. My knowledge level as a newbie about armor is practically non-existent. I was so fortunate to come across a site with people with such a great and vast knowledge of costuming. I would not know a good suit of armor from a bad one without the FISD. I am very appreciative of of the knowledge given and the patience from everyone. I'm glad I haven't come across any "better than you" attitudes. I can't wait to get my armor built, and plan on passing on any knowledge I pick up along the way.
  14. Any way to install a "kill" switch for VOX mode, so that you CAN have that "private" conversation then turn it back on afterwards?
  15. Nice armor! Is this the 1.5 mm TM or 2.0 mm?
  16. Doopy Doos web site says: "ON THE MAIN BODY ALL THE VENT HOLES THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY A BARREL FIN ARE OPEN EXCEPT FRO THE ONES UNDER THE FORWARD STOCK TO GIVE YOU AS MUCH AREA TO GLUE TO BUT THEY ARE STILL THERE IN RELIEF DETAIL SO YOU CAN DRILL THEM OUT IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO" http://www.doopydoos.com/stormtrooper-e-11-complete-anh-e-11-blaster-kit-offer-2685-p.asp
  17. How does the glossiness of TM's 1.5 and 2.0 compare in your (anyone who has seen both) opinion? Also the whiteness. I know the 1.5 is more of an ivory color.
  18. I know. One is lighter and more flexible and one is more "armor like" and glossy, but not as flexible and could "break" easier if bent too much. I know I won't be playing football in it, but just looking at all options.
  19. I'm in a quandary trying to decide which ABS plastic to get for my suit...1.5 mm or 2.0 mm. I'm going with TM armor. I know the 1.5 is more like the original suit and is lighter and more flexible than 2.0, but the bright white and glossiness of the 2.0 mm is so tempting. What do you have and why did you decide to go with your decision? Any pics or links to the difference is color and glossiness is welcome as well. Thanks for your input.
  20. When will this take place and how will it affect the forum?
  21. Very nice! Great pics as well. Answers a lot of questions I was having about my future build. Thanks.
