  1. Great job, Jason. Yeah, you need to get some new pics. I noticed that the the new holster we put on isn't in the pics. That one was one of the first 5 I made. Update those pics and represent Squad Seven!
  2. I still remember the day the delivery showed up on my door step. Joy and panic. I was right there with you. You will be done before you know it Then you will be someone elses mentor.
  3. Make it out of a thick plastic, 3/16" - 1/4". If you don't have anything that thich, sand and glue two sheets together to make it 2 ply. Then build the box and sand the sdges until they are round and match your armor. For the inside curve at the bottom, were the box meets the flat section that attaches to the belt, fill the seam with a white sculpting putty, (you could use Bondo as well), smooth it to the desired curve, and let it dry before hitting it with a coat of paint to finish it off. You could make your own for less them a $1 if you have any supplies from other project laying around. Hope that helps.
  4. BJ, you crack me up. Did those armor bites do you in? It was a great day.
  5. Great read. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
  6. Wow, Steve, you Pimped that Helmet. It looks Fantastic. Man I wish I was thinner. I'd love to retire my F/X kit for one of these new kits.
  7. That is a fantastic Blaster build. Great work and even better info.
  8. I like my Doopydoos blaster. The price was right and it looks great when built. I like the building process as much as the trooping, though. I didn't have any contact with them, but I got it in a timely manner.
  9. If you have the ability to do all of this, you wouldn't risk your reputation on a set on hovi tips. ---------------- Check out the Clone Pilot helmet he built over on the FMP forms too. Andy is a stand up guy, he does this because he loves creating. He wouldn't recast someone's work.
  10. It is a canvas material that my wife bought at Joann's. I trimmed a half inch off the ABS belt. She sewed the canvas to make a sleeve, and then slide it over the ABS. This way, the belt is still ridged so the holster doesn't sag.
  11. Thanks, We redid the thighs last night. That was what got him wanting to submit his pics. We talked abought resizing the bells, but it was getting late. Jimmy's a Cop, so getting him to set aside some time to get this much done was an accomplishment. He works all the time, on and off duty. We only got the armor together last April, ('08). In what way did you think that the chest and back should be trimmed. I trimmed my wife's Elite, so I can handle the mod, just let me know where you were thinking. After looking at the pictures. I see what you mean about the butt separation. I think the best thing to do would be to reattach it and then cut it lower. Agree/disagree? Thanks for the input. I can't wait to get him finished up. It will be cool to have the 4 of us all Elite. We started together, great family bonding!
  12. I use a "Magic Eraser" by Mister Claen, and then follow it up with a coat of car wax. I was able to even get off small traces of Plastic Welder using it. Don't use it on you kids tattoo's though! It will remove skin as well a the tattoo. The car wax will cut down and almost eliminate the amount of marks you get on the armor in the future. Hold on tight, though, the armor will be slippery!
  13. Jason, Great going! After helping us newbies get our Kit squared away, it's nice to see you joined us! Now if I could get my Bro to get his pics up.... Later!
  14. Scott, Stay strong, man. God has a plan, even if we can't understand it. My family will be praying for you and your family. Bobby and Michele
