  1. Yeah some of us have steel pipes from a dday run. And with a real endcap it fits but no one knows how to get the roll right. Its one of the road blocks I'm waiting to figure out in my ultimate building. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I257 using Tapatalk
  2. On your nose caps, I see you have decided to make the rounded end of the tube part of the nose cap. Does that mean you couldn't figure out how to roll the end of the tube? We had been thinking on that in another thread for a long time with no solutions.
  3. You heard it here first sub $1k price point. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I257 using Tapatalk

  8. Well That settles it. I'm pumping the breaks on my builds till I see all you can do.
  9. Jeeze. Are you an eccentric billionaire coming to ture the costuming world on its head? haha Can We order a power cylinder and extra parts? I could use a precut bracket for my attempt.
  10. Nice. I hope you didn't pay to much for it.
  11. Got it The last piece was glued. But I put an allen key in a vice and used it to twist against and it snapped free. Same one. I just ripped all the rubber off looking for ways to take it apart.
  12. Ok so I bought some of those scopes. Where do I make the incision to free the prisms?
  13. the tubes dd sells are to spec. my real bolt slides in them perfectly
  14. Ones with the cone front seem hard to find. Also from the movie stills the front defuser is completely transparent. Not the translucent ones that seem more common, and not the dome ones that are even more common. Some interesting literature on the operation of the real sight. http://soldiersystems.net/2015/11/20/sof-carbines-comparing-the-son-tay-gau-5aa-and-the-m4a1-cqbr-part-ii/ http://shootery.blogspot.com/2010/07/moldy-oldie-review-singlepoint-sight.html http://seanlinnane.blogspot.com/2010/11/son-tay-raid.html http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_123/649246__ARCHIVED_THREAD____Single_Point_Sight.html&page=2 http://soldiersystems.net/2015/11/19/sof-carbines-comparing-the-son-tay-gau-5aa-and-the-m4a1-cqbr-part-i/ http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_123/649246_Single_Point_Sight.html&page=3 They are really not scopes as much as the predecessor to the red dot sight.
  15. Its actually a very interesting piece. Its one of the world's first red dot sights. Made by an English company called single point. So look up singlepoint oeg. You actually cant see through it. Its just a black rod with a red fiber optic cable running through it. So it would be totally possible to make funtioning replicas out of resin or aluminum. With no need for crazy lenses or prisms. 16. If you are looking to expand your prooduct line, the world could really use a good DH-17 manufacturer. All the kits I see are junk. But if you or DDAY took your E11 parts you would be about 70% of the way to a DH17 just because they are both sterlings.
  17. Awesome. That will get me started. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I257 using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks Aaron. That helps a lot. Was the brass tube 1/16" wall too? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I257 using Tapatalk
  19. They do. I was just confirming your workmanship was great.
  20. Well the historic lenses thread in perfectly.
  21. Or keep it solid but bore out just enough to install the monocular from: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32072-thrawns-guards-anh-e11-blaster-build/page-6 http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/page-2#entry414383 And the roof prism from: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/36090-count-choc-anh-e11-aluminum-doopy-pipe-build-pic-heavy/page-2?hl=prism That would be the perfect scope model.
  22. I got my capacitors and scope yesterday. They look awesome. I see why you didn't bore out the tube so you could screw it together. I haven't tried yet to see if my real m38 lenses fit in it. But if they do and you can ever find a way to make your scope completely hollow you will win the scope world.
  23. I thought you used cap nuts. Do you have a link or picture of the fuse? How thick were the walls of the 3/8" tube? What kind of resistors were yours?
