  1. True, Harrison's flex had to do with the strapping on the chest attached to the ab, thin abs would flex like this.
  2. I'll try to find the older post- you can see the thighs really flex in this scene
  3. There are a number of different threads about this. Troopermaster has pointed out that there are some flexible (rubber/latex) thighs during the stormtroopers' blasting through the detention block elevator.
  4. The weathering looks awesome, as it is from actual use! As for weathering the clone armor......just skid it across some blacktop... the ground will scuff up the high parts accurately, then you can drybruch some silver into the gouges.
  5. Guys, this is one of the best threads in a long time! Build threads are OK, but new information is always the best. Thanks for all the investigative work on this.
  6. Interesting. The TE HDPE I have is pretty thin, like the same material as milk jugs, just beige in color.
  7. Hi Obiwendt, Could I also get in on a pair of these gloves? To Connecticut, USA? Chris
  8. Frosty clear..... like a gallon milk jug?
  9. It depends on the mesh you use - Stompers come w/ the standard faucet mesh, and fit in his Hovis perfectly. However, I replaced the mesh w/ some more accurate, heavier gauge stuff I had from the faceplate of a Bell motocross helmet. Just snip around the circle slowly, and form it over one of your fingers - worked great
  10. Coincidentially, I just attached mine this weekend: GF ABS onto black rubber gloves with E6000 - it works great!
  11. I have also seen the Disney suits down in FLA a few years ago.... they were the same, but the eyes and the cheeks were cut out r and covered w/ black mesh - presumeably for ventilation... I have old style camers pics, and will try to scan them in a few weeks. There were 2 types of helmets, one w/ seperate cap/back ala FX, and one single pulled cap/back. The rubber blasters they carried had "LFL" on the butt end.
  12. i also heard somewhere in the past that the "8" was a patch from one of the explosive squibs they used... remember, this scene was one of the last ones shot for ANH, so most of the suits are "used and abused" A related question: a few frames later, the trooper has what appears to be 2 large Black "velcro?" pieces sticking out of hit right chest plate....... any thoughts on this?
  13. Thanks for the clarification, guys. Regardless, its still a great-looking lid!
  14. Looks good, Joe. I was under the understanding that TE's new "ROTJ" lids were actually copies of a "TOUR" helmet.....therefore a recast of a recast so to speak... could TE shed any light on this?
  15. Nice pic - anyone notice that the eye looks green?..........
