That's an excellent idea! I'm sure the BX managers would be really open to working with me on something like that. They have lots of drives and events outside of the exchange store regularly so I can try to organize something with them. Good one Rob.

True story.

Hm... Your points are noted and well seen. I have been on a couple troops so I know the range of visibility will be limited. However, keep in mind I will have my wife there to spot, and military folk are generally honest. Plus, being on base, if you steal something there's really nowhere to run ya know . Alas, I still see the possible problems. Ahhh I just want to get out!

So here in the Japanese Garrison, the troops come few and far between. Due to the size of the venues there is often a limit for the amount of troopers even if the location is close enough for me to travel. Being in the military and only knowing mostly conversational Japanese it is often impossible for me to travel to certain locations. (I'm talking 8 hour drives or hundreds of dollars in train tickets- with armor in tow) Does anybody ever just venture out in armor? I'm talking to Wal-mart, the mall, Sam's Club, parks, anything- you name it. Maybe you are not all so starved to get out in armor, but I figured I'd give it a shot. If so, what is the general public reaction and concensus? Mostly positive? Ever been asked to leave? I am getting to the point where I am about to just suit up and go check ID cards at the BX . Any advice or stories I'm ready to hear it! Thanks everyone.

The only thing I can see, and I may be nitpicking here, is maybe work the air bubbles out of the decals on the helmet. Other than that everything looks spot on! -
Just FYI on that armor that you were looking at on ebay: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19449 Looks like everyone has already pointed you in the right direction but I want you to be informed.

TK-5492 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status[41][MTK*]
TK5492 replied to TK5492's topic in Request Centurion Status
That's really good advice. I did draw the pencil lines, but then I had a hard time staying in them because even though my brush was small it wasn't flat. I will try to find that type of brush and give it another go. -

Thank you sir! Again, this would not have been done without the help of the FISD as a whole. To you all I give the credit. :salute: It's truly an honor. -

TK-5492 Requesting ANH EIB Status[MTK]

Okay guys. Copy all. I will try to get these quick but I have to go to work soon. Stand by for incoming pictures -
I already have EIB status with my old set of armor. However, being dissatisfied, I have received and built a screen lineage kit to go for Centurion. This is something that I could not have accomplished without the knowledge and honesty of the entire FISD. Thank you all. Thanks for your consideration and here we go... Tyler Fox, TK-5492 formally requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status. Armor= MTK Helmet= MTK Blaster= Doopy Doo's Full Resin Height = 5' 6" Weight = 150 lbs Boots = TK Boots Canvas belt = Custom made Hand Plates and gloves= Trooper bay Neck Seal = Custom made Holster = From original kit Snap on the top right of ab plate No overlap of back and kidney Rubber chemical type gloves and flexible hand guards Boots lightly scuffed Two male snaps on butt plate tab and fastener on the cod/ no return edge on the forearm Drops boxes enlosed in back (with some scrap ABS) New photos added by request. I believe I have covered all the bases. Thank you.

I would also recommend replacement. I know everyone is different, but if it were me- even if I found a way to fix it, it would always drive me crazy in the back of my head that it wasn't perfect. Not sure if you have this "Trooper Conscience" but I would say your best bet would be to get a new one now so that you don't regret it later and end up having to pry that thing off of there when you finally do get a replacement.

Nooo stunt is my first love

Also, yet another good bit of info from Mathias.

I see the angle Nick. Good advice. Excellent use of photoshop too. I like that I look just like the Trooper in the mini picture! (Besides the Hero helmet) Or maybe HE looks like ME...

Thanks everyone! I'm glad I am on the right track. Tom- You know it's funny, the belt used to almost be too long with the FX armor, with the right stuff if seems that it doesn't get all the way around like it should. It's too bad though because I always liked that belt because it was more of an off-white color like many of the belts I see on screen. But new is always nice!

Well this won't become too much of a build thread, because I am very near completion. Working right now on the cover strips for the backs of the thighs. After that it will just be the sniper plate, thigh ammo pack, and those last finishing tweaks and blammo!- I'll be heading for Centurion. A couple of pics of my first test fit of the upper portion of the armor. Keep in mind I am missing my TD, neckseal, holser, the mesh behind the teeth and, of course, the leg armor Let me know what you guys think so far- ya'll are the experts!

Requirement Confusion

Thanks eveyone for your quick and clear responses. I am nearly done with my build and should have my application done within the week. Thank you all for your support. -
Requirement Confusion
TK5492 replied to TK5492's topic in FISD Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) Requirements
Right. That I understand. The question I am posing is if I need to resubmit a new application for EIB with the new kit before submitting for Centurion? -
I am not sure if this is the proper place for this question. It seemed the most appropriate. Admin- please move this if I am wrong. I am seeking clarification about applying for Centurion. The armor that I plan on applying with is an entirely different kit than the one I was approved for EIB with. It is still ANH Stunt. So, do I need to resubmit the new armor to be approved for EIB first, even though I am already EIB approved with my old kit? OR- can I just go ahead and submit for Centurion since I am already EIB approved? Centurion is stricter, therefore, it incoporates the requirements layed out in EIB anyway. The guidelines only say that a TK need be EIB approved before applying. Hope I didn't make this sound too complicated.
