  1. I can definetly say that the FISD is the right place for you. Just when I thought I knew everything about armor... BLAMO! I joined up here. At times these folks will turn your stomach when you realize you've made a mistake or what you thought was right just turned out to be Bantha Fodder. BUT, the members here are true fans and complete proffesionals and I couldn't be more honored to be in this group. - Welcome and rest assured you will never be let down.

  3. First I would like to start off by saying the pictures I am using are from Jesse, TK 4702. Thanks go out to Jesse for posting these. Now, I have always been curious about this, and although it seems very obvious, I cannot find anywhere that it is addressed. I have noticed that the Hero blasters used by Han and Luke do not include Hengstler counters. I have always wondered why theirs were different, but always assumed that it was just because they were just that: Heroes. However, in certain shots it is very clear that in A New Hope, many of the Stunt troopers also carried blasters that do not include the Henstler. From the CRL per the 501st website the Hengstler should be present for 501st requirements. Particulary, it MUST be present for EIB or Centurion requirements: A real or replica ammo counter - based off of a Hengstler counter - shall be present. I know that as a aircraft maintainer, the Air Force uses the term "shall" in technical manuals to indicate that something is mandatory. I am just curious as to why it is mandatory to have the counter when it was varied so much throughout the movie. I'm sure this has a good explanation, and the powers that are wayyyy above me have made the best decision they see fit. I just wonder why this is the way it is???? Personally, I like the clean look the blaster has without it. Please see these pictures for the references I was talking about: Thanks folks! .
  4. Thanks for the quick replies guys. Don't know what I would do without everyone's help here. Thank you!
  5. After researching through the forums I have seen this done both ways... The CRL is not specific, it only states: A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate shall be present. most troopers look like they have the snap facing in or towards the body, but I have also seen it facing out. So, for once and for all: which way is correct? Has this ever been specified or is it personal preference? Any help would be awesome! Arigato!
  6. Your point is well seen about the designers. The way the game ends though, they are probably given their Imperial information by Bothans. We should've known...
  7. To me, this looks more like a: ROTJ armor ANH Style helmet and hand pieces Looks more to me like a frankentrooper than a newer Phase of the clone armor. The only thing that really stands out is the ear markings as mentioned above. Interesting too that the ROTJ style was used since the games (without the expansion levels) take place before ANH. Correct me if I am wrong???
  8. It looks like a cartoon and you can't use it... Or can you? Step 1: Take a standard lamp and remove the shade. Step 2: Drill a hole in your FX bucket Step 3: Attach to lamp. Now after all this time we finally find a use for that horrendous FX helmet. And lit... Enjoy!
