  1. Hello troopers, After the summer hiatus I am back at it ! Now I trimmed most of the pieces out of the mouldings and Im n the process of fine cutting and sanding and I was wondering how much return edge for the bottom of the shoulderbells should l leave and also ifanyone has any idea which side is the front and the back they seem a bit asymmetrical.
  2. Thanks Man!!! thats awesome, really !! it seem they are all pretty good options!!
  3. Awesome, do you know if there's a forum that has some pic to see the neck seals and the belts?
  4. Hi there guys,I'm thinking is time for me to get my belt , neck seal and holster and I was a bit at lost on where to get them , they are various vendors, which ones would you recommend for each item, I though maybe trooperbay since they have all 3 and the shipping will be less, but I would like to hear your comments in what's out there, what are your experiences , what do you think are the best holster neck and belt around?
  5. Is this company still selling boots? I'm looking to get my boots finally and I was wondering which are the most recommended ones?
  6. Glad you like the pics , and yeah I re sized the photos to upload them into my Picassa album, but I have the originals, they are 2.16 mb, and about 3000 pix , you can have them for the gallery if you want, just let me know how can I send them to you

  9. This is a really cool thread martin,I'm using a lot of your tips on my Doppy !thanks man!
  10. looks great so far!!
  11. Don't worry man, he's just really busy, it's worth the wait, in the meantime research all the build treads, there's a lot of stuff one has to know before start cutting away !!!
  12. My two cents , I will buy a new one and leave that one as it is, there's something really cool about the way the paint is cracking away , with a little work it really could look battle damaged , or like the guys are saying , death trooper it
  13. 1/4 x1/2 !
  14. Right on man !! glad you got the kit , see it wasn't that long of a wait , great progress!! remember u can drill out the screws from the muzzle and add real ones, you have to just cut the heads , same with the one by the bottom of thee handle!
  15. So I went to Canadian tire and got a round stick that fits inside the doopy's tube and and some wire , the wire is about the same size as a hanger wire, just tiny bit thinner which makes it easy to bend and it will spring better, after that I drew a mark every 13mm as Lucas example for a total of 210mm approx and it's about two turns too long so Vern and Lucas are both right , those are the dimensions and it needs to be compressed a bit, now if you attach the spring directly to the back of the end cap and without the bolt where the cocking handle goes I think then you have to give it a few more turns since it will have to compensate for those two pieces missing
  16. You can feel the camaraderie and the good vibe , everybody is willing to help and give constructive criticism . there's also a lot of practical and visual information to help you out building your TK, it feels indeed like a community.
  17. Right on!!! that's perfect thanks Lucas, that helps a lot, it even shows the piece that the spring joins with, of course I would have to scale it down a tensy bit cuz the Doppy's kit pipe is too think making the interior a bit smaller
  18. Hello boys and gals I'm gonna try to work a bit on my E-11 this weekend , I got so wire and I wanted to make the spring , nut I have a question, do you know how many turns the spring has on the real starlings ? or if this even matter on the doopy's kit? thanks guys!!
  19. It took about 3 weeks for me here in canada
  20. Totally, I'm gonna make some tests with the spare plastic!!
  21. True that, maybe it will have to be sprayed with a flat coat but that's an extra step, maybe the rubber finish is a better option
