  1. TK-4962 requesting detachment access please! http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=14411
  2. WHO DAT! My screen name comes from my grand-paw. It was his nickname. He had red hair and his last name was White. My last name is also White and I also have red hair. I'm very glad that his nickname rubbed off on to me over time. Its something I'm very proud of and I'm sure he would be too.
  3. I ordered my AP kit last November and received it in March. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. His customer service is great, and his product is great. Sometimes it just takes waiting, which I agree sucks, but it's worth it and just how this hobby goes. Mark was great to deal with. For anyone waiting, I suggest reading and researching as much as you can during your waiting period, and then read and research some more lol. It's a whole different animal once your box actually arrives. I'm about 80% done with mine. Good luck
  4. Proudly requesting 501st detachment access please! http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=14411
  5. Almost done with my AP kit! EIB, here I come!

  6. Looks great! Good job. I should be starting my AP build in the next few weeks.
  7. Andrew your suit looks awesome! I can't wait to see your request for EIB status. I'm loving the AP armor!
  8. With your body type, I'd go with AP! The ATA is supposed to be good too. I just know AP makes a great product and has great customer service. This is just my opinion. I was in your boat about two-three months ago with trying to start my build and deciding on an armor. Just make sure you take your time and read and research as much as you can. It seems overwhelming at first, but after a few weeks and months, you'll be super knowledgeable and be able to help out other future TK's. Also check with your local garrison as some of its members can help point you in the right direction and assist on your build. GOOD LUCK TROOPER!
  9. I'm a real slim guy and my should be here soon, so I'm really enjoying this thread. I'm gonna be doing a strap and snap system just like this so it really helps having the pictures also. I like the idea to use the elastic to keep the chest to the ab plate. Keep up the good work and good luck! This should turn out great!
  10. I got the email early this morning also. I just paid through the PayPal email address that was included in the email. I actually didn't know they even had a website. I would think that your fine as I've heard nothing but good things about this company and their boots.
  11. Happy New Year Troopers!
  12. Waiting on my AP armor!

  13. With it being the last week of the year, where does the EI number stand now? Are we going to reach the goal?!
  14. A M A Z I N G
  15. A Festivus for the rest of us!
  16. Thanks! That's exactly what I was thinking! Grabbing a Stanley! I have a helmet bag for my lid, but would it be overkill to have it in a bag and also try to find some sort of hard shell type of box to put it in too?
  17. For those of you with the Stanley box, did you put any kind of padding in the bottom or the sides? Or is there even room for padding? Thanks.
  18. Could someone please explain to me the difference between the rivet sizes regarding EIB? I'm doing my build for EI approval and I have purchased 1/8 size not knowing. If it has anything to do with the requirements, I'll take them back and get the bigger size for sure. Thank you!
  19. Good luck trooper! That has to be an exciting feeling. Can't wait to hear the follow up!
  20. Dang! I wish I could help! But I'm still waiting on my armor. But I am building toward EI and should hopefully be ready to go not long after the begenning of the year. I'd love to see 200 by the end of the year!
  21. Thanks so much for taking the time to post pics and describe what you are doing. I'm waiting on my AP kit right now, and this helps so much. Your doing a great job! I can't wait to see your finished trooper!
  22. I'm currently waiting on my AP as well. I'm looking forward to more of your progress. Good luck and thanks for taking the time to post pictures and info.
