  1. I never knew that-- that's cool! I can't wait to share that bit of trivia the next time I watch the movie!
  2. Congrats! I love my ATA kit-- just finished Saturday-- and found he was very helpful when I had questions or had to re-order parts. (I trimmed 2 pieces incorrectly. Ooops! Luckily they were small and inexpensive).
  3. I want to thank Ingrid for sharing info about removing yellow from the armor. Any suggestions for buffing- what to use/how to use it? Recently I tried using my dremel and it took a chunck out of my cover strip. "Take that yellow off by gently wet-sanding your yellowed parts until they get to the desired whiteness and then buff and polish." I dont have that problem yet but I know it will drive me nuts if/when it comes up.
  4. I found that link extremely helpful because it gives a lot of information about each type of armor. I also agree that meeting people in your garrison is great because they can provide a lot of support. I got a ton of help on my recent build from a Centurian-level garrison member.
  5. Here's something- your belt looks too low. The top of your belt should go up to the bottom edge of the "button box"
  6. Padding the left shin in the back sounds like a good idea. It doesn't look like you have much room to raise the left thigh to give your knee plate more room. I was curious how tall you are? One of my biggest fitting challenges was getting the black straps to stay over the bicep when I move my arms around, and I think part of the problem is that I have kinda long arms so my biceps are pretty low so that they stay close to the forearm.
  7. Looks great! I was taking my pics recently and I ended up in front of the garage too.
  8. My belt has a tendency to sneak up a little in the back. It looks like yours does too. When you put on your armor, maybe give it a little nudge down in the back?
  9. You're doing a nice job. Keep it up!
  10. I wonder how many people even realize that George Lucas envisioned that lightsabers would be a common weapon in the galaxy far, far away.
  11. Great idea to have pics beneath the blaster. I may have to steal that idea!
  12. Thanks for the detailed review-- having more info makes it easier to make a good decision. $29.99 for both top and bottom is incredible! My UA pants are getting a bit worn and I've been thinking about replacing them in the near future. It sounds like East Bay is a great way to go.
  13. I am using a hard hat liner right now but may try to modify the foam that came with my armor sometime in future so it will fit. I am sure it will be more comfortable, but with school starting in one week I just wanted to get my armor done before I went back to teaching, so that meant not spending time on the foam lining for now.
  14. I know the feeling... I got my armor a few months ago and just finished yesterday. I think the wait time at that point was about 9 weeks, and I got my email saying it was being made right around that time.
  15. LOL- totally! Ditto- Zahn is one of my favorite EU authors, and the books are definitely among the best.
  16. This doesn't sound extreme at all. If it works, do it!
  17. I got my boots from this source. They shipped quickly and fit great!
  18. 2 years? I'm impressed. That's A LOT of being helpful!
  19. I like the idea of walking around with my brother once he gets his TIE pilot finished, but I thinking bringing along a handler would be a must.
  20. Oh yeah.... one more comment. The first books I read were the Thrawn books by Timothy Zahn, which are great!
  21. I also liked the NJO series, although I thought it dragged on too long. I loved the Legacy series-- totally awesome! The scene where Luke pins Jacen down in his chair in his SD is awesome, and the duels between Jacen and Mara and Jacen and Jaina are great. The Fate series was decent. Some books were better than others.
  22. Trooper Korps-- I like it! Now I can answer that question when my students ask me about it.
  23. That's a great quote-- I couldn't agree more!
  24. Ok, so Grand Moff is 3000- no sweat! I should be there in no time.
