If you still havent modified it. RETURN IT! The material cracks easily and can be glued with regular model glue. I used Humbrol Hobby plastic glue for mine, but I cant remember what the exact material used, is called. poly styrene or something...

Looks like they changed the endcap... looks like its solid, instead of hollow... strange

I really dont think so. Dont think they care enough, and there will always be some people bying from them, because they dont know about FISD or the 501st(like I did when I bought mine). So as long as it sells, they will likely just keep it as it is.

They are two separate pieces. Was one of my first blasters, and at that time, it was a lot better than the blaster I had from Jedi robe(Made a noob mistake), but after I got a Doopy E-11 I had no feeling toward pulling the SDS apart to see how it was made

I started out with a Jdi robe armor, I modified for 501st standard, but only trooped in it once, since I got TM instead. You can see my comparison thread here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/18754-commercial-vs-fan-made/

Would also require new boots. The ones in the picture looks like Caboots, and wont be accepted. Having modded a costume and build one from the bottom up myself, I clear prefer to build it instead of modding it. Modding takes way more time and effort, than just building a kit.
