  1. Thankfully all the encounters Ive had in armor with dogs have been pleasant ones, some have been a bit timid but generally they seem more curios than anything. My squads Vader on the other hand is another story Ive got two dogs myself and they're fine with it. The oldest one likes to just sit and tilt his head when i wear it while the younger dog tries to peak inside to see where the noises are coming from
  2. Thanks Mathias you've made my day I'll get the ab buttons sorted out ! And thanks for the kind comments guys
  3. Sorry but I couldn't resist
  4. Oh stop it you Cheers Jenny !
  5. Ive noticed the AP buttplate seems to run a little flat at the section where the snaps are installed. This might not cause an issue for the taller troopers but for us shorties it can have the effect of making the armor look like this : It takes away from the look of the whole suit and restricts your mobility but its easily fixed All you have to do is bend the tab into the correct shape then apply heat for a few minutes until the plastic becomes flexible, a hot air gun or even a hair dryer will do the job. Once thats done just hold the piece in place for a few minutes to let the plastic cool and set in place. Your armor should then look something like this : Not only will you have a fabulous lookin bum you'll also have greater mobility and less pinching. Well other than the pinching you'll get from members of the public
  6. Hahaha that has to be the quote of the week, I can just see the meme now
  7. These guys speak the truth, in this hobby you get what you pay for. The vetted kits may seem expensive at first glance but considering the amount of work that the makers have put in not to mention the countless hours theyve invested in improving the quality and accuracy of the suit (and the legion by doing so) it really isn't. You can go cheap and get a set of armor but 99.9% of the time the product will be of inferior quality and you will spend way more time modifying what you have just to get it up to par with the minimum standards than you would just assembling a good quality kit. The best thing to do honestly is just take your time, do a ton of research and save up what you need once you've done enough to give you an informed oppinion on which suit would be best for you! Also it never hurts to start gathering the smaller parts and work your way up to the more expensive/complicated parts
  8. I have a similar problem, I usually struggle to sleep at night and when I do finally nod off I routinely wake up around 4:30 - 5:30 The only things that seem to work for me are going for a short walk (depends on your neighborhood mind you) or listening to classical music.
  9. Hahaha thanks Billy, i just had a couple of wee mods to make before I was happy to submit but as usual I kept putting it off Cant wait to see you guys again this year at CMG, its gonna be a real treat to have 3PO there! mmmmmm the droids we're looking for

  12. I had to trim my thigh armor quite a bit so it would fit my wee legs properly but its left the tops of the thighs without a return. Is there anything other than a craft iron that I could use to create a return on them ? Thanks
  13. Congratulations, now the real fun begins
  14. It took me just over a week to assemble my kit but I had done all my research while i was waiting on the kit and broken it down into a to-do list to make sure i could assemble it as quickly as possible without missing any of the details that I wanted to have. There have been countless little tweaks since then , You'll probably find yourself after a couple of troops that there will be areas that need adjusted for a better fit. Heck Im still adjusting my armour regularly. Everyone has their own way of working, Don't worry about the time its taking just work at a pace that you're comfortable with and enjoy the process
  15. Thats awesome, thanks guys ! you've all given me a lot of ammo for future troops
  16. Thanks for the advice everyone
  17. As much as I love being in the armour I have to admit that I still don't quite know what to do with myself at events other than looking manacing and spouting the usual lines from the movies . Does anyone have any tips or tricks that they would be willing to share for being a better TK ?
