  1. I will do, Thanks for the advice
  2. Thanks for clearing that up Paul the ab and kidney pieces seem to fit around me with a bit of room to spare so the standard 20mm and 15mm strips will probably be fine but I'll make sure to double check before I trim the arms and legs fully.
  3. I got my armor kit the other day and Im planning to use the butt join method for the legs and arms. I know the AP kit has extra material on the sides so you can just overlap it which has to be removed but do I remove 10mm from each side of the leg pieces or leave just 10mm on each side? Help me FISD, you're my only hope
  4. I found another alternative to e6000, its called Bostik all purpose. Its about the same consistency as e6000 and has the same rubbery properties once it cures, it seems to be just as strong too. The best thing about it though is that its a lot easier to get here in the UK and its a hell of a lot cheaper ( about £2 for 50ml although I've seen it for as little as £1 ) --------
  5. I used rubber bands to hold everything together until the E6000 cured, it seemed to work fine, heres where Im up to so far. I had to order the base sterling kit as they didnt have any full kits left at the time but I've got the scope and counter on the way from doopydoo's. I threw the power cylinders together myself. That reminds me I still have to find the correct size nuts for the end caps One thing that seems to have changed with the kit is the rear end cap now comes with a proper D-ring which is nice
  6. Ill keep my fingers crossed for ya , good luck
  7. Congratulations
  8. Cheers Good luck with the clearance, Im sure you'll be out trooping in to time
  9. Thats really looking great Ricky, good luck on the clearance
  10. Thanks for clearing that up guys, much appreciated
  11. On the right side of the armour do the ab and kidney sections attach by just the popper thats visible on the ab section or are there other straps hidden inside the armour to keep the two sections closed ? Ive seen people do both but im not sure whats considered correct. Thanks!
  12. The brass is normaly just plating, you should be able to sand it off if you want a more silver/nickel look
  13. If anyone is having trouble finding these then try searching for "paper fasteners" they tend to be pretty much uniform across most of the manufacturers . Any good stationers shop should have the correct fasteners in stock.
