  1. Well i dont know how to say it, but i'l try as best as i can. the seams where the helmet was put together (around the ears, the dome, the mouth area) look like they are moving apart and i'm wondering if there is a way to fix it, or if i'm just imagining things. thanks.
  2. So placing the speakers inside your helmet would replace the mic tips on the helmet. i'm definitely interested in your setup but i'm wondering if this would work with my Efx.
  3. Lol, looks a little bit warped.
  4. do you have a set of armor for each helmet? now that would be an addiction
  5. i talked to Jim about the aker amps, but he also recommended a "static burst" card. I think he said that they're like 50-100 bucks, so i'm wondering if theres a cheaper static burst card out there. i dont want to cheap out but without a job it's hard to come across money.
  6. hope it helped, good luck
  7. I'm not really experienced when it comes to trooper electronics, the only thing I've ever heard of has been rom fx. I want to know whats the best com setup out there for a reasonable price. thanks.

  9. Well, i have a friend who's looking at scout armor and he's looked around but couldn't find anything but the kit from star fortress productions and i've heard plenty of bad reviews from that site so i told him to stay away. anyone know where he can get a set of affordable armor, or just a helmet?
  10. Oh my god, the college humor vid bothers me so much. The one guy has his chest plate tucked in.
  11. I'm wanting help to figure out what i should use to stick my fans to the inside of my helmet. i'm thinking heavy duty velcro but i'm not sure. help please.
  12. I have to admit, the padding on the inside of the helmet is very poor quality for the nice helmet you pay for
  13. WOW, thats crazy, i might be wrong but that chest plate looks WAY to big. And even someone like me who doesnt know much about this wouldnt buy this suit for 2500 bucks. yeesh.
  14. no i didn't i'll check it out

  15. I do have some of those miltary pads, pulled them out of my dads helmet he brought back when he got home from Iraq, those things (to me) feel very uncomfortable, they feel like cloth covered bricks.
  16. Post didn't attach a picture sorry about that.
  17. ok, i might just give it a try. i'm just kinda scared it might turn out all bubbly and looking like a 3 year old tried to do it with finger paints.
  18. Well, i'm thinking that i should find someone with the expertise to do a nice job on it. Would you recommend that or do you think that someone as inexperienced as myself could do a nice job ob it following the steps that you listed above?
  19. thanks. sorry about that.
  20. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but i'm looking into buying a kit from ata works. I want to buy it so I can finally have a full suit, but my parents <_< are telling me that since the kit doesn't come painted they want me to look into buying something else. I'm posting here to get information on how to paint (what to buy and how to do it) or services that will paint it for me, help please.
  21. yeah, wound up taking it apart and it doesn't work. although but i did find a headband that keeps the helmet from wobbling our moving around when i turn my head. that'll have to do for now.
