  1. Great Newsletter everybody. Congrats to Edwin and Julie! You're closer to me now. Congrats to the Cloud City Garrison, way to go! Troy, you'll make an awesome 299 EIB award winner.
  2. That's a good one!
  3. awesome, Troy!
  4. Will do! I might be making new snap holes... I sure hope not, but I gotta get it right or he will beat me. Not really, tho! BILLHAG --- Thanks for the BILLaGRAMS.. they ROCK!
  5. Thanks for this post! Just used it (finally getting hubsters armor moving along...) --------
  6. How about making me Jes Gistang armor?!!! - When you are done with your HERO conversion, that is. I know you'll do awesome, as usual, in your next endeavor. Hey, HAPPY NEW YEAR to YOU!
  7. Hi Glen! Congratulations on EI and Centurion! You did awesome!
  8. YAY! Glad the armor was just what he wanted. Yep, once you start doing a little research, then you get hooked and gotta build your own armor, too. We have lots of ladies in armor. Have fun with it.
  9. Yay! You are kicking butt and taking initials.... no time to take down names.
  10. Awesome job taping / painting your bucket!
  11. Yay! congratulations low-TK-number Craig! Looking forward to your trooping pictures.
  12. You have an awesome build going, Glen. I'm starting to lag behind, but I plan on getting elastic biceps glued like you, and drop boxes, too. I can't let you get too far ahead of me! haaa haa... Your ab buttons are perfect, btw!
  13. YAY! Glad Susie is getting interested. I was planning on getting Greg an Imperial Officer, but then that got sidelined when I saw the RT Mod for sale. I'm going to save up and get me an Officer sometime. Although... I haven't really been saving.. just spending for Greg's armor. He says those still count as my purchases... even though they are for him. But, yep - I'm feeling lots more confident on his armor than I did on mine. Actually, I am skipping lots of steps like sanding and all the extra measuring. Well, I measure the important parts, but I'm kinda winging it and will tweak his armor after it's done. I had to tweak the crap out of my armor, so I sort of know what to expect. I told Greg he's welcome to sand his armor all he wants when I'm done, but it's really rough right now. It's kinda funny how I'm throwing his stuff around... .like how I throw my armor around. When I forst got my armor I was so careful with it, and cleaned it all the time, but not anymore. I've accidentally scratched his, but I told him that's "authentic battle damage" and nothing to worry about. The 1st time I gouged my helmet I was sick for a week. But, I'm over that now.
  14. Nice paint job, Glen. I messed up my hubby's but my twin is an artist-type and I'm having him re-do it. I will show him this thread! If I'm not drinking beer, I'm adding spiced rum to my sprites. I get the cheaper spiced rum and then re-name it "Admiral Morgan." Cause an Admiral sounds way cooler than a plain ole Captain! I hope to have my build done soon after yours. I need to nag my hubby about picking a 5 digit TK number.. or threaten to pick one for him and that's not right!!!!
  15. Love reading these! Congratulations, Frank! Well done!!!
  16. My hubby will be applying soon, if he knows what's good for him.
  17. Hi Brandi and welcome to FISD! That's so cool. Armor presents are starting to be very popular. You are not the first, and hopefully not the last GF to get her man some armor. ROCK ON!
  18. You could be the FIRST in 2013, though. Just stay up for 72 hours straight working on it and you'll be done.
  19. Looks good, Bro. You better take care of yourself - you've had that cold for awhile now. Get some Dayquil, Sprite and Campbells chicken soup. I learned that from an old South Park episode. It's the cure of the middle-class white man.
  20. That sounds wicked!
  21. You can do it Barry! Glad you went with the cover strips, too. Your story was cracking me up. "EMO Schoolgirl"... teee heeeee heeeeeee
  22. That looks awesome, Jay! Cool spatula, too! I didn't trust myself with a heat gun on my butt plate, so I e6000-ed a nylon belt to the top corners of the plate and it has a closure that stays under the cod piece. I don't see your butt plate sticking out in that picture, but I know how it is when you notice something, you want to get it fixed. Do you have your TK # picked out? Congrats on your armor!
  23. You are so close to being done. Well, you're really never all the way DONE, but you'll be trooping in no time. That's a nice Table Of Progress!
  24. You're doing awesome work, Glen. Keep it up! Seeing your little white ABS flakes in some pics reminds me of my floors - and tables - and counters. That stuff gets everywhere. I get whiffs of E6000 and sanded plastic even when I'm nowhere around my armor now. I am hoping that fades soon after I'm done. Seeing your drop boxes reminded me that i still have to do mine, yet. Thanks for sharing your build, I like seeing the pics and updates.
