Need help and advice from you Technical gurus please, ive been building the new Legacy Fem armour for the wife, I may have over trimmed the shins slightly but I kept to the lines suggested so not sure how that's happened, anyway the 2 halfs of the shin armour are are shimmed at the front using a fillet piece at the back which leaves a nasty gap at the front, to make this a seamless line I need to fill in the gap and spray the shins, my question is whats the best material to use to fill gaps in ABS ?? -------------

I heard today there may be problems getting these Costumes 501st Cleared, the reason is there is a discrepancy between the back armour of the Comic Jes and the GG Jes, the 501st use comic, Book and movie reference as opposed to Busts to get reference for clearing procedures Now if this is the case and holds true, where does that leave us all ?/

i always thought that due to time constraints a number of helmets were made and shipped out to Tunisia for the Sandtroopers the HDPE helmets i think (unsure)and these would have been put together on set while trying to get the Sandtrooper look if your trying to pin point one helmet being made first where would the Davin Helmet fit into this as he's seen first. i like your thinking though and a great thread

round off the edges instead of having straight cuts this may help too also if i remember your a bit of a short a very impolite person too aint ya so this may be another reason for your soreness, you know im only kidding

Im getting a TM hero kit off the misses for my Birthday which is soon, my plan is to build the Solo hero helmet does any one have some good reference pictures and help tips and advice on achieving the look thanks

Maybe Tube stripes are a sign of Higher Rank in the Forces, Mr No stripes could be just a raw recruit and by stunning Leia with his blaster leading to her capture he gained higher status and therefore got awarded his Imperial Standard Tube Stripes ..............

The more i look at this hero helmet the more im liking it How far down does the brow trim fit ? and is the helmet smaller than Stunt helmets ? it kind of looks squashed down if that makes sense

agree entirely with your post mate, but slighly off topic here if we are to consider that we follow screen time Troopers as cannon then surely this would include the Trooper without the Tube stripes after all he plays a significant part in capturing Leia and definately has quality screen time heck he even gets a close up

Are you sure this is correct, im sure if you look there may be the odd TK with a pauldron on in Mos Eisely, not all the sandtroopers had Backpacks or indeed pauldrons, and we cannot be 100% that all the Troopers in Mos Eisely had Diamond Knee plates and different belly plates. in all fairness i think the original poster of this thread really wants to know can he as a clean Stormtrooper wear a pauldron for your garrison probably not in the comfort of your own space of course you can however go dirty mate its a great project dirtying your armour

i want to avoid the sds ON PRINCIPLE but thats another story. Loving the Hero look of your helmet thanks for sharing. TM it is then that was quick and easy wasnt it lol

Im nearing completion on a CAP rebuild i recently purchased one from a member on the RPF and it was in a very very poor state, so much so i had to take it all apart and turn it into a sandtrooper Helmet to hide the flaws, ive tried to turn it into the "Move along Trooper" not an exact replica due its state but very similar..... anyway once ive completed this project i want to have a go at putting together another helmet in the Style of Luke Skywalkers hero helmet. what in your opinions would be the best helmet to use for this project and also are there any other special bits i need to consider

Tried and tested method this from many years back

I personally would avoid Mic Tip speakers they are not loud enough, if you go with a Rom FX you get a speaker a good one too with the sound board, i used to attach mine to my Belt and it worked super fine

Matt has been saying for years "this pull is the last pull" its a great marketing ploy to get naive people to quickly part with their money thinking they are getting the last great Pull off an original mold, which just to add fuel to the fire has probably been re-worked numerous times. with 3600 suits done you have to be really naive to think yours is definately going to be the last one. Sadly Matt started out as great guy but over the years has become a bitter and twisted man, paranoid that for years he had been recasted and sadly the unsuspecting buyer is bareing the full brunt of his pay back time attitude. As for the way he pulls his armour, its a crude process however i cant believe the TE empire has been run from His kitchen. Personally i would have contacted Matt and then asked around for varification on his statement i bet my life people would have come forward saying"yeah Matt told me this is the last one too" however i wouldnt touch a TE if it was the last Armour available. There is an old saying Fools rush in where angels fear to tread, im not calling you a fool in this instance, my point however being i think the allure of owning a TE has ruled your head. Disappointing for you a valuable lesson for everyone else
